Mark, can't be too long now. Congrats on hanging in there this long. Hey, will you be back home in the beginning of June? If so, You GOTTA come up and do the All-Ford Nationals @ Carlisle with my Bad Mustangs Club group this summer coming up. You would have a blast!!! It would be one great roadtrip. We have several members come up from Virginia and even further out (Texas and Canada). Whatta say??

Hey, AFBLUE - I was at a dealership on Saturday getting the oil changed in my '07 and saw the blue coupe they had on the floor. You are going to love it! The fit and finish on that model's hood scoop was excellent, the grille looked really good without the stock GT grille behind it, and the color of the stripes looked great.
I am going to get some pictures of it and post here soon.
The dealer did put a GT500 spoiler on it, which did look good, although I am not sure I would have done it.

I think it would look just as nice without the GT500 spoiler. The body and stripe color looks really good. I didn't have a good enough camera to really capture the color well, based on the lighting.

Update: Contrary to my posts #207 and #212, my car was actually striped on 20 Nov.
Shelby GT conversion was completed on 4 December (day the last item-the hood scoop was put on). So the conversion process started on 20 Nov and ended on 4 Dec (excluding trip to mod shop)
Just found out a few mins ago that my mods are being completed today (lower grille with fogs and quarter window trim) and it may ship out by 10 Dec or maybe tomorrow.
I think I heard it will take ~12 days to get from SAI to me so I'm thinking/hoping it will arrive by 21 Dec.
Also have confirmation that my car's CSM # is CSM08SGT0220
Merry Christmas!

Congrats Mark.
Sounds like you better start clearing a spot for it in the garage.
I think the Blue is Beautiful. Would definitely have been my choice in this car. I was going to go the SGT route had my GT500 not worked out.

That's great Mark. I have about 350 miles on mine and it's snowing so all I can do is sit in it. Can you drive yours most of the winter in Virgina Beach? I did send in my visor this week to be signed by Mr. Shelby. I can't wait to get that back.

Yes, it's the mildest part of VA. Snowed once last winter but it didn't stick. I will drive my recently acquired 03 F-150 to work most days and only drive the SGT on nice days.
UPDATE: My dealer, Michael Morris of Wayne Morris Ford, called me Friday at 4:30pm (yesterday) and said my car was being loaded within the hour.
Today, the driver of the truck carrying my car called and gave me his cell #. He's currently in Arizona heading towards Houston, then to Georgia, then to me.
ETA: Next weekend.
