Just got back from Las Vegas and SAI tour. I was unable to get any shots of my car (wasn't showing up in their tracking system yet), or was I? Took a lot of shots of a big sea of Vista Blue GTs awaiting conversion into SGTs. Maybe somewhere in there is a shot of my car. I will never know.

I just came from looking at a 2008 SGT in Vista Blue and all I could vision what I personally already own! The hottest GT in town!

Mark--great pictures and story. That's so cool for you to go along on the "owners delivery" tour too.

So you thinking about switching to 18" instead of 20" wheels. I'm going the opposite way and
thinking about going up to some 19" ones.
Wish the Razor came in a 19" size.

Chuck, I will take delivery with the factory 18s. I guess I'm just old school. The 20s just look big to me. That plus they typically make the ride harsher and can slow your acceration (if they weigh more and/or wheel-tire combo is larger in diameter).
I do like the silver razors though and may get them afterward. Size TBD, but currently wanting 18" wheels.

I understand Mark, some 20" wheels do seem almost too big, and one nice thing about 18" tires is those replacement costs should be better...

Apparently my car went in for conversion into a Shelby GT today...getting closer.

EDIT: Just found out it went on 20 Nov.

We have one of these down the street in the showroom at my local ford dealer. I think its retarded how long its taking to get your car but it did look nice in blue. Hope its done soon.

1 day. Then it will go to the mod shop (my choice) to get the lower grille and fogs. It will use the factory fog switch. Theoretically my car could be totally complete by COB this Friday, but it probably be next Friday or later.

Really hoping it's sitting at my house prior to Christmas.

I have been reading your post about your wait to get your Shelby GT. Sounds like it will not be long now. Are you going out to Vegas to pick it up? I enjoyed your write up about the visit to the Shelby plant and museum. I visited a few years back when they where building the Shelby Series One. I was like a kid in a candy store looking at all the old Shelby's. You walked in the door , to the left was the very first Cobra every built, then to the right was the very last Cobra ever built. Then between them was all the years of Shelby Mustangs. Good luck with your new car. I live not far from Offut AFB. So let me know if you ever show your Shelby GT here.

No I don't want to put that many miles on it. Used to be stationed at Offutt (93-97, 01-02) and just sold my house in Papillion. Don't think I will be coming back anytime soon.
