I'm very happy to say I placed my order yesterday for a 2007 Redfire GT/CS convertible. I used X-Plan and the whole process couldn't have gone smoother. I'm told approx. 8 weeks until delivery, so the wait begins.

Some news:
My dealer showed me the new incentive plans from Ford newly available for the 3rd qtr (expire Oct 2). Looks like $500 back on a GT Mustang (Retail cash to dealer) AND $500 back if you use X-Plan. So my already low price (about invoice price) will be reduced by ANOTHER $1,000 if I can get the car by Oct. 2.

Just curious if you can provide more info from dealer on the two rebates. I also have an order on X-plan and just went to check the x-plan site for special offers as well as fordvehicles site for special offers and both do not have any info for the rebates you mentioned.

The rebates were just announced by Ford. My dealer gave me a copy of the sheet Ford sends to all its dealers so I have it for my records. It states from Aug 1 to Oct 2, 2006 what vehicles qualify for what deals, as Ford provides every month. Newly listed this month are the Mustang GT ($500) and the X-Plan ($500).

Go to your dealer and ask him to show you the new incentives just issued by Ford. Again, these are typically not advertised to the public, and are for the dealer to share/advise its customers.

So you're saying that as long as your car gets delivered by October 2nd you are eligible for both the $500 dealer rebate and the $500 X-Plan rebate?

I just ordered a GT/CS two days ago on August 1st, so I'm assuming that I can take advantage of this rebate too. Thanks for the info. Let me know if I'm understanding this properly.

 

Are there any numbers or Titles on the Ford Sheets of paper that we can Ref. to for our Dealers? Or could you post they here for us to see or e-mail a copy to me?

I wanted to add that my dealer told me there were rebates on '06 Mustang GT's. Are you sure that your dealer didn't misread the incentive and mistakenly apply it to '07's as well?

It then lists the various cars, SUVs, and Trucks and what incentives are on them. Again, check with your dealer. Maybe its only a regional thing (like available in Northeast only), but honestly I don't know.

This is info for you guys only.... My dealer told me about it and as long as mine comes in by Oct 2 (Lets all hope and pray !!), then I qualify. Another thing they said was that Ford probably won't pull it back for the 4th qtr in the event it comes in after Oct. 2, but who knows.
