The second one was running the SVE Drifts.

That's Darren's car, he's actually worse than you when it comes to keeping miles low on a car.
That red '13 had 331 miles on it when he traded it in last year for a 2015 that he only kept for about a month before trading it for a 2016
He's on this forum too I think, but he mostly trolls s197forum ...

What a gorgeous car.
Is he from MA/NH? What color is his current S550?

Wow serious? That, even to me, is excessively a waste lol. And I'm bad at putting miles on lol. 331 miles in 2 years? Wow. And why get rid of the S550 2015 for another 2016? Holy waste batman

This is Darren though. His cars are mint and he keeps them impeccably clean. I do think he had more than 331 miles on it since I think that was about the mileage he had when he brought it back from the dealer in Texas. He lives in Louisiana.

He sold the black 2015 for a silver 2016 because trying to keep the black up to his standards without swirl marks and etc. was driving him nuts. He loves cleaning his cars or his bikes but the black was just WAY to much work for him to try and keep clean so he went with the silver since it hides a lot of the swirls and imperfections a lot longer and well it does show off the lines of the S550 a lot better IMO.

Lol this extreme low mileage stuff rustles my jimmies. In a way i get it... but at the end of the day we are all driving cars that cost under 50k. Not super cars.

Here's what I don't understand ! If the OP was aware of how black shows swirl marks and scratches more than other colors ? Then why didn't he just get his S550 in a different color to begin with

OP means opening poster.

Darren is simply crazy
He bought the black '15 with the 50th package on it thinking he was getting a 50th anniversary car for a great deal.
The forum members wised him up, he then realized the black was a horrible color to keep clean and quickly traded out of it for the silver '16 which now sits on cut Eibachs in his garage, as spotless as a car can be, and with almost no miles on it.
Like I said, he's crazy

With how much he cleans his cars I wouldn't be surprised with how flawless it would be. Having a cars paint that has flaws even if it is a stray swirl mark or micro marring drove him nuts. He loved the black car because of how good it looked and let me tell you, it looked amazing like the black car that is on the previous page.

I do think that he had more miles on the car than he lets on. At least that's what James (Jewc) says when they meet up.

Yeah the micromarring and swirls is something that inevitably gets on the cars, black or otherwise. Other colors just hide it better. But that's the joy of owning a black and why I love black. It gives me a reason to polish it lightly, 2x a year... keeping in swirl free for the whole year. So imo, he just didn't want to put in the hard work. LOL. I love doing it, so bring it on. I've owned 3 black vehicles at one point. And you guys all know how **** I am about detailing and swirls. I was fine. And my cars were fine. Now I have another black vehicle, and I'm stoked about it.

My mistake Gabe for thinking Darren was the OP lol. At any rate, as much as I love the color black, it's also such a horrible color keeping clean especially when it comes to swirl marks..

I know this from personal experience as my previous 3 Mustangs were black and despite being as careful as I possibly could, I'd still end up getting swirl marks anyhow.. So needless to say, I haven't owned another black Mustang since

Installed the steeda CAI and retune. Wish the directions added a few minor details, but man, if it wasn't so late when I finished everything up, I could have kept on going for the test drive afterwards....paired with the borla S types, and the intake, the roar the car makes now is just beautiful music....won't need to listen to any of the stuff on the flash drive for a while now.....almost wish the drive to work were a bit longer tommorrow also. Gonna have to take the long way home!

Congrats! I know the feeling. If you cut your resonators out, it can get pretty loud, but sounds mean and powerful!

< Jealous! It just snowed another 4-5 inches here yesterday, so no Mustang driving for a while...

Enjoy!

Feel bad for ya Jay. I always look forward to seeing pics of yours when it's outdoors. Garage pics are so depressing to look at when snow is the reason why it's inside.

So far, so good here. Been dodging the weather bullet so I've put almost a 1000 miles more on it than I thought it'd have by this time. We did get a little bit of wet slushy snow, but it washed away the next day and no salt ever hit the roads. I hoping I can push this until Feb.

Hoping your winter ends quickly.

That would be great and an early spring would be awesome as well. I still have to get my car down to JPC so I'm hoping there is no snow until February as well.
