Wow. This doesnt bode well for me then. My dealer said 8-10 weeks. I am deployed now, and ordered a 2012 GT/CS. Im hoping it actually makes this if not, I will be headed back overseas from leave with no way to pick up. Wish I found this site before hand, hmm. I ordered on 1 April and the latest I can have it is like 8-10 June. Going to contact the dealer and see if he 'really' believes they can meet the 8-10 weeks.

Here we go again,,seems ford ironicly has too many mustangs piled up although our retail orders are not filled. this is because the "OK to buy" wasnt achieved before they started filling retail orders. Now they will shut down for at least a week. Unreal

so what does the 116 day supply mean? shouldnt they have enough parts to keep building? and i feel bad for the people who ordered reds or black because theyre wait just got even longer

Luckily for us, it has been stated several times here, and verified by Ford Customer Care, and from Deysha, that Mustangs are not affected by the paint pigment issue from Japan. Black and (more specifically) Red Mustangs will continue through the "normal" order processing.

It mean they have a whole pile of stock sitting around the plant parking lot with no where to send them, so they stop production in the hopes of clearing some back log. What makes sense to me is they should'nt run anymore stock orders and start building retail orders since they do have somewhere to go.

I know it has been stated before, I remember perusing this forum before I deployed. Who is the best and second best option to see specifics on a build of a Mustang order. Is it direct customer service? Im sorry, stupid internet acting up overseas, makes it tedious to search.

i agree why wouldnt they run retail orders being they already have a home to go to its gaurenteed money for them as well... at least get us our cars sooner not just the person that decides "hey im going to buy a mustang today but im not going to wait for one ill just pick one up off the lot"

My Dealer told me on Friday that i have a delivery date of April 28th. I ordered on 3/14 wonder why mine is going faster then most of yours... Order a 2012 Black GT/CS with everything except for the Glass roof.
On a seperate note too I wish they made the GT/CS with the Brembo Brake option... Kind of sucks that they dont allow you to select that.
Does the 2012 GT/CS come with the standard shifter or aluminum?

2.That's exactly why I didn't get the gt/cs.
3. Standard unless you got a 401a package with the colored stripe on the seats.

My Window sticker finally came up! Everything is correct, so that is one less thing to worry about.
So, where is the build date again? The small number at the upper left corner says 120110415, while the number in the bottom box with the "This Label is affixed..." says BD011 N RA 2x 225 001808 04 01 11, and of course the bottom has todays date.

I am assuming I can't check for a window sticker yet as I only have the partial VIN#, however where are these sites you are checking for window stickers????
