Sounds good to me, but has anyone ever seen the FR500CJ on the street heading to the strip? I didn't think they could do it still. I don't know nothing!?

Typically, race prepped cars are trailered to and from track test events. Wouldn't want an unexpected event happen on the way to the track...

Or, when they come out with an entirely new Mustang in 2014(?) make a Mercury Capri version. Cut it down a little so it's just a two-seater, give it a "bubble glass" hatchback and blistered fenders like it had in the mid-80's, standard T-tops, and the Mustang's powertrain.
How about another Capri along the lines of how it was reincarnated on the Fox-body Mustang platform? I really dug those versions with their different bodies and interiors to differentiate them from that era Mustang but with all the same good mechanicals.

It could be done again but there has to be a really good marketing case to support a separate Mercury version.

I wish we would be seeing more RWD vehicles in the Lincoln-Mercury future, but I really wouldn't hold my breath. I fear that Mercury isn't long for this world...

I would have loved to see a new couger, but I think Mercury needs to be put to bed.

I could honestly see a new Lincoln RWD coupe before a Mercury. I don't see them living past 2015 with the current lineup. We'll know more when the new Explorer is unveiled, as they'll lose another item in their (Mercury's) collection.

Oh, trust me when I say we pay for amusing 'winter' weather with a summer that'd make you assume that whole '20 miles to Texas, 25 to Hell' analogy is true. It'll be 108 degrees in the shade, if you're resting next to the ice chest.

Off topic here, but i'm glad we don't have to wait for the next tornado to hit. We have a nice valley here called the St-Laurence, but aint nothing compare to the "tornado alley" back to OP.

The more i look at that yellow GT, or whatever that new color is, it is growing on me, hope they have a dupicate here at the Mtl show.

I'm afraid you're right. Too bad, because back in the day they produced some great cars. I've always wanted a '63 S-55 or a '68 Cougar GT-E . I wouldn't mind owning a '54 Sun Valley, either.

The way things are going with the new Mustangs, I don't think there's a point in making a new Cougar.

anyone know if the new transmission from the 5.0 will not be a remote shifter like the 05-10 version? I hate our remote shifter crap.

Anyone happen to catch if the rear axles were painted on the Mustangs at the show?

Even if they are, they're show cars, meant to be prodded and poked and investigated in minute detail..............production cars could be different

Nothing... dissapointing... Just one 2010 GT and one V6... not even a Shelby or modded Mustang...
