Because I can't get enough of the bitter coldness rolling through the South this week, and despite the fact that almost everyone I know is in or on their way to Pasadena, California, I leave for Detroit on Sunday so I can give you the best North American International Auto Show coverage possible (within our budget)!

I think I have it covered. MRT's Scott Hoag is letting me crash at his place. I wish I had put my Ford Press Fleet request in sooner though!

 

What do they give you? A Fusion?

 

I have no idea. I had requested a 2010 Mustang GT from the press fleet when they first came out, but never got one. I assume they have everything from base Fusions to GT500s and Raptors for various magazines to test and review.

 

How sweet would it be to get a GT500 or a Raptor?? That might make missing the Bama game worth it...unless its snowing then I wouldn't want to be in the GT500

 

Hey Brad, could you do me a favor and see what the Ford area is giving away to people attending? I remember going to an auto show one year and they gave out black Mustang hats with silver stripes. Last year at NYIAS, they gave out F150 hats at the truck stand. If they are giving something cool away for the intro of the 5.0, any chance you could snag an extra for me?

All kidding aside, have a BLAST at Detroit!! I can't wait to see the press conference on Monday morning at work!!!

It would be awesome to see the special edition package, but I still don't understand why they chose to do a GT/CS package. They already had that for three years and now they have a 5.0... why not the Boss or maybe even another Mach 1 package. I know they have the Boss 302R, but that's too rich for my blood. I would LOVE to see a Boss 302 in Grabber Blue...
