V8s aren't going anywhere...
As long as the base vehicle helps with CAFE, and the V8s get decent-to-good mileage...they are but a drop in the bucket compared to everyday vehicles.

Test drove the 2011 V6. Liked it a lot. Then test drove a 2010 GT. Liked it more.

Ordered a 2011 GT.

I'm sure if I didn't test drive the GT I would have kept my V6 order.

My douche nozzle salesman went from 410 UNDER invoice for my V6 to 500 OVER for my GT. Well, it probably wasn't his fault...he claimed the GM knew I wanted to the car badly so he changed the price. I cancelled my order and got it locally for 500 under, which is about 250 under after "processing fees".

Behold the power of test drives, and you got a nice price for what you wanted. You have done well, young Padawan. However, now you realize you are one of the few people who have driven both, now you can post your impressions of both for the rest of us to consider!

I don't see the point of ordering the back-up cam without the EP. I will admit I haven't driven a car with it in the mirror, but from the pics, the screen looks too small to be useful. I do like the looks of the backup cam spoiler the best though. Eh, glad you're going to be happy with it and that you got the Glass Roof!

Was it much different from the Camaro V6?

I didn't test drive a 2011 GT, sorry. Only the 2011 V6 and the 2010 GT.

The 2011 V6 felt hella stronger than the Camaro V6 I test drove last night. The low end torque was surprisingly decent (even with a 2.73 rear). I'm not an expert on handling or steering, but the ride seems quiet and smooth. Engine was pretty quiet unless you revved. Sounded great. The Mustang felt faster, lighter, and more nimble than the Camaro. Solidly thwomped it in acceleration.

Then I drove a 2010 GT, and I realized the GT has that low end torque which overshadowed the 2011 V6 (not by a lot, but it was noticable).

Got greedy and ordered a 2011 GT.

I was thinking it might feel that way. The Camaro's max torque isn't until pretty high in its power band. Plus all the extra weight it has.

Camaro: 3.6L V6, 304HP @6400, 273#' @5200.
Mustang: 3.7L V6, 305HP @6500, 280#' @4200.

HAHA - nope - not me! You will have fun with the GT without a doubt - you might start driving to work everyday instead of taking the rail

You won't be disappointed. I drove a 2011 GT Saturday. I wanted to compare to my '10 GT. I can't believe that car is legal. I was close to ordering one myself...but I can't justify trading for horsepower basically. I really love my 2010 and I'll be a good position for 2014.

Enjoy your new Mustang.

Seriously? That's a bit of an overstatement! Perhaps it can be said about a 1200HP Twin Turbo Viper, but not a 400HP Mustang lol
