13 tail lights ftw!!!! Waiting for them to come down in price so I can get a set for my car.

Did they put a 2012 rear bumper on the car? It looks like there are some pretty big gaps below the tail lights. I'm surprised that if they went that far they didn't go ahead and use the 2013 bumper so it would align with the lights properly.

That is clearly not a 2013 bumper, as evidenced by the license plate surround and the lower part of the fascia, where the matte black styling piece is located. And yes, there are gaps, which some of the early adopters of the tail lights tried to address with various solutions (flat black surrounds made of foam, etc.).

This is the one thing that keeps me from making this change. Silverhorse Racing did a full conversion to the 2013 rear end, and wound up painting the lower part of the 2013 bumper to keep the color match with the side rockers, which they also painted.

It kind wants me to find a wracked 2013+ and take the lights off it.

While the lights would look good, in my opinion, the style would look incomplete without the rear bumper fascia and the middle blackout piece. All of those elements harmonize the look.

Yes gloss black on the front to match. Here's the before and after.

Yes, it's a 2011 rear bumper with gt500 lower valance. I didn't like '13 rear bumper. Yes there's gap between taillights and bumper. I love the '13 european taillights so much I could live with gap. Painted black to even out lower lineup so that it would appear even. I like it. Sorry about going off topic.

Would you mind taking a close-up photo of the painted gap? Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for posting, especially the photo that shows the black outline on the rear bumper fascia. Clever solution!
