When I bought my 2010 GT, I knew full well about the 5.0L coming. I wanted a daily driver. The engine output was more than enough for the purpose for me. I enjoy the feel of the torque in the 2500-5000 RPM range around town. There aren't as many occasions to wind it up to 6000RPM going from a stop to 40 mph 
The 3-valve 4.6L V8 was at the height of its evolution then. Being a "late adopter" type of person, it fit the bill.

Same here. I knew of the new engine and new tranny coming, but wanted the "tried and true" 4.6 3v and the tremec. Price was a factor, if I waited and bought the same car later, it stickered for almost $4,000 more.
The 2010MY is the only year with the body style/drivetrain combination!

I saved over $16-19 thousand buying my 2010. I was going to buy new one but no dealer anywhere had a manual convertible. I came across a awesome deal and could not pass it up. I paid $19 thousand for my 2010 gt vert premium with nav. She has low miles and looks brand new.

I always feel a little bit of pity when I pull up beside that body style Mustang and only see a single tailpipe. It's one thing to be a GT owner and maybe feel a bit of disappointment that you didn't wait, but being stuck with that 2010 V6 has to be painful to drive every day you get in it.

For me the Mustang wasn't even really on my radar at all with a 300hp GT. THen the Coyote came out and then it was on the radar, but with that back end, not too much. 2013 changed that for me. Even after nearly a year of ownership it still almost feels weird to own a Ford. Honestly thought I'd be in an Ignition Orange 2SS Convertible with silver stripes.

I didn't want to be a guinea pig for a new motor and tranny so stayed with the tried and true 4.6 and tr3650. Same engine as in my truck, so I was already very happy with the performance. cinched it for me when I found a 5 month old GT from a private owner with less then 2,000 miles and way less than what it would have cost if I bought it new.

I really do not think anyone who buys the car now like I did fit that bill. I knew full well it did not have the 5.0 when I bought it. I looked at news ones but a $36-40k price tag was pretty pricey with the options I want, plus I could not find a manual vert anyware. I think the 2010 is real bang for the buck!

I needed a car ASAP and the 2010 gt was the only thing they had in manual. It was twice as powerful as my old 325xi so I was very happy during the test drive. The 5.0s were brand new at the time and pricey which meant more money for mods! I don't regret it at all, I'll be saving up for the 2015. Most people assume it is the 5.0 and I actually will say it's not

this is why I picked up a 13 v6.. the gt to costly for what my wants and needs were.

It's the 2010 V6 owners that I feel sorry for. For them, waiting a year for the 3.7L would have given them a 100hp boost with NO ADDED COST. The 2011 V6 is almost as fast as the 2010 GT, gets significantly better gas mileage, and you could buy one at the 2010 V6 price.

Like I said... It's one thing to be a GT owner and MAYBE be a bit disappointed that you didn't wait. However, you still own a GT with good performance.
