I love the options on the 13's but the fact that they finally get the rear end right but make the front too heavy (cept for gt500 and boss) on the regular models. Definitely wanna try gettin track apps an the recaros on my 12! And of course DIB is amaIng!

I think Ford is making a mistake making so many changes every year or two. Its frustrating the owners Im sure. I know when they came out with the 05, it stayed the same till 09, leaving owners to enjoy their look without feeling obsolete or outdated six months after a large purchase. Make a design/style and stay with it for a few years, then do your refresh.
Realistically more than five years in the 05-09 body style is too long without some changes. Ford cannot keep people interested in brand new vehicles purchases if they keep looking exactly the same as five year old models. So the 2010 refresh was the right timing and the recent 2013 refresh works just fine to keep it salable before the 2015 model comes out.

It's funny.....when the first photos of the '10s hit the internet, the Mustang faithful were unhappy with many of the styling cues.
1 - Many preferred the V6 front end (which was GT500-esq - that's irony, right there!) and didn't like the GTs "mutton chops"
2 - The black plastic, unpainted, side skirts were almost universally disliked
3 - The rear lights were probably the most controversial aspect
4 - Closely followed by that "full diaper"
So, Ford listens, makes changes after just a few years.........and you all keep *****in'
For me, the '13 is what the S197 has been leading up to since '05 and is, in terms of looks, power and equipment, the perfect modern Mustang.
I mean.....this makes me go weak at the knees
I can only hope the '15MY makes my heart beat as fast.

I don't hate - who could hate a Mustang?
My only comment is that I had wished they left that front facia for the GT500s and not have them on all models. That facia is what separated them from the others and when I saw one of the in the rear view mirror, I knew it was a GT500.
I prefer the 2010-2012 facias.
But I think this is all part of Ford's "trapezoid" front facia (as Ford calls it) they are going for on all models

Ford did the right thing with the mustang....it time to start comparing it to the higher end brands....not the Korean least expensive brands in the market.
I hope the 2015 gets all wheel drive as an option and F1 paddle shifting ....the Shelby should compete with porsches,vetts,astons....the 5.0 should compete with the baby Benz amg , m3 bimmers, Audi s versions.....not with a hyandai genesis.

As Overboost explained so eloquently, the auto industry as a whole has shortened product lifecycles over the past decade and to remain competitive and even grow, Ford made the decision not long after Mulally came in that they would refresh every 2-3 years with all-new models every 5-6 years. Best example of it yet was the Fusion but the F-150 (all new engines last year) is another. Going forward, it'll be the norm and I think it's great.

awd in a mustang? thats a crap idea at best. I have hated every single paddle shifter I have ever used. The shelby already hangs with those cars. The mustang V6 competes with the genesis and beats it currently. The 5.0 boss already handles the m3. Not trying to be mean.

The mustang is still a muscle car. Every fiber of the GT500 says muscle, not euro-refinement. I don't think the '15 mustang would sell well if it was designed to compete with beamers and benzes...it would require an entirely new customer base, as most mustang fans would go elsewhere for their pony cars. I don't want a BMW in a ford body. I want a mustang. I think the IRS is as "Euro" as it's going to get. Just my 2€
