Alot of dealers do not have certified techs by Ford in this case. They might be ASC but they do not certify quality of Job. Most people miss these kind of things. Looks like the part has lock tight on it.

Here is another option:

with a good write up:

You might want to replace the oil in your diff as well, don't know what may have got in there while that vent has been missing.

I was thinking the same thing. With new fluid and the vent back in you should not have any leaking on the street. And if you do it will vent itself then be fine.

For now I have installed new vent, She was sitting in the garage for 5 days while I was waiting for a part. Haven't seen a drop of oil so so far so good.
Its actually pretty tight fit so I do not believe that vent would just backed out itself? It still blows my mind when I think of it but now I believe that it was removed on purpose.

I have emailed corporate as well as the general and service manager 2 days ago. So far no answer.

I will change the ol next week also thinking about getting Steeda cover why not!

Will keep you guys updated!

The Steeda cover is a good idea. The bottom drain plug makes it easier to change the fluid when you need to. It also lets you vent at the top of the cover and plug the original vent location. This stops the leakage at the factory vent by raising the vent location.

Got new Steeda cover installed and moved the vent too. Thank you. no leaks!

Also had a little war with the dealership, but at the end I got this from Customer Care Manage:
Good afternoon,
Please accept our apology along with the attached Free Basic Maintenance gift certificate (Oil change and tire rotation/gasoline vehicles only/semi synthetic blend oil). You may use on any make or model vehicle. Please print certificate and present at time of appointment/vehicle drop off.

It takes a special kind of a moron to offer a oil change and an inspection after what they did......
oh well at least they agreed that they screw up.

I would give the certificate to someone that you don't like. I would never take my car there again and wouldn't recommend that any of my friends go there.

ha! This! Totally agree. They would probably forget to put the oil drain plug back in.
