Official 2013 part retrofit thread
Everyone who may be curious how a tail light decklid panel refit would look without changing the rear bumper entirely, it looks like Roush Racing has done just that for the 2012 Grand Am race season. Here's a pic and link.

It doesn't really look as bad as I would have expected.

Weird how all the 2012 season Boss302R's are using regular GT grilles (appropriately hacked up)

Looks very good to me! The little gap doesn't look bad at all.
Also I went back in pics and sure enough, the other ones did run GT grilles (with lots of plastic cut out). #15 wore a GT grille for the daytona race as well.
at Daytona (running GT grille)

at MRLS

Me walking off with the grille:

At the risk of being shunned as a double poster... but for the benefit of this thread, here's a reply I sent to KC:
What are the chances of getting the track apps programmed to run on my 2012 GT's Ford Factory Electronics/Nav/Sync System? All the data (off the OBD/CAN network) is there; and the Nav/Sync system has ~40GB of space...

Parts, tax, paint, labor, totaled ~$850 and took one day; all financed with the car and under warranty.
I recommend going this route (grille & lower fascia), vice the whole front end retrofit you'd need for the 2013 style.
Thief!
I am pretty sure I saw you walk away with that, I recall.
That's kind of funny. The only race I was able to go to was MRLS and I didn't notice they were running the Boss grille. I guess I was just excited to be there. Unfortunately it was a bad, bad weekend for the Mustangs.

Sorry for the brief thread derailing.

Man, there were a lot of us there!
Anyhow, here are a few more shots of the #61 Roush car w/ the 2013 tails:

I'm going on record as saying the gap isn't a big deal, and can be played off as a styling cue. If the taillights weren't going to be 1 million dollars, certainly a facelift I wouldn't mind doing.
Same with that panel. I'm running a wrapped panel (cf vinyl, somewhat of a tone match to the gray plastic below)
edit: on the derailing, my car now wears the pony from that grille. I hope it brings my car better luck than it did Foster and Maxwell

Recaro seats now available. A bit pricey at $3000 for the pair.

It's like the Mustang equivalent of pants sagging.. the gaps look weird. Somebody needs to make an aftermarket cover that is styled just like the 10-12, but doesn't have the dip for the lights.
