LOTS of dealers around here are pushing it. With my luck as soon as I pay the $40 or whatever it is I'll get a flat and have to pay again. No thanks. I have an air compressor and a tire gauge. I'm good.

Ford doesn't make a decent key fob. As a valet who has handled every car key in the world, I can tell you that if you like the Ford key, you haven't handled many others. The Camaro key is nice, similar to the current Audi/VW/Porsche keys. The problem with a lot of the fobs is durability, though. I see a lot of broken Honda, Hyundai, Chevy, and Ford keys. The new Taurus/Lincoln key actually is still incredibly cheap compared to other keys out there.
Also, Valets have multiple lots at times, which may require going on surface streets, so a 20mph limit is no good. 45 would be fine though, and hp limit wouldn't be a bad idea.

I'm not climbing aboard the Jetsons boat. I still like to stick a key in the ignition and turn it. I don't like how bulky the keys with the build-in buttons are; I wish they still just had a seperate key fob from the key. I was actually considering buying an extra key without the buttons and then taking a key with the buttons and cutting off the key part of it. Bingo! Basic key with separate key fob.

I'm going to do exactly that. I run a lot so when I park the car I don't always have a place to put some big honkin' key (and I don't like tying it to my shoe). I'm just going to get a blank that will allow me to open the door/trunk so I can get to my "regular" keys.

The flip key programs just like the PATS key and the fob. You do have to program all the the fob's at the same time. If you get a third key, flip key or whatever, you only have to program the new key's ignition memory. The directions are in the owners manual plus they come with the flipkey.

I'm lazy. Where does one get this flipkey? (Please don't say, "At your local Ford dealer.")

I think the 2010 key is better looking than the 2011 key. And I agree with the previous comment about visually differentiating the keys. I know it would cost a buck but it would be nice if Ford had the model name engraved on the key so someone could tell which key is for their Mustang vs their Taurus/Edge/whatever. Oh well, I will somehow endure.

I thought Nitrogen was better in cold weather, but thats it. Think its good for area's where it gets below freezing or just a waste.

Those flip keys look exactly like my Mazda flip keys.

I'm a fan of any integrated key/fob combo. Less to carry in my pocket is a good thing. I'll have to throw the pony key chain on mine of course.

Cool ... I just resolved my dislike with the new Key ...

When I traded in my 2006 ... I forgot to give them one of the original Keys and KeyFob ...

I followed the programming steps for the FOB and it worked perfectly ... the 2006 FOB now controls my 2010 Mustang.

Now for the key. I was comparing the 2006 Key to the 2010 key and the 2006 had plenty of metal left on it to cut the 2010 key out of it.

I went to Lowes and asked the key cutter to give it a try. It worked like a charm. Went home and programmed the 2006 key using the PATS programming documentation and it worked perfectly.

Now I am using my 2006 Key and FOB with my 2010 GT ... the All-In-Ones are now spares ...

What? My Mom's 4 year old Prius has all of that. Not THAT new...

Why would you roll out all of your tech all at once? Think about it. Besides, you don't find too many adv. keyless setups with manual transmissions right now.

I personally like turning the key in the ignition. It's very retro.

I got my flip key on ebay. The vendor's name is artiway and is in Taiwan. He gave excellent service.

I did the exact same thing, had an old key & fob laying around so re-cut it and programed them to my car, they work perfectly. You just have to follow the instructions in the '08 owner's manual (the '10 manual doesn't show you how to program them separately)

Sweet! Thanks. $48.50 + $8.99 is a bit more than I was planning on spending but it's pretty cool. That's the cost of a new XBox360 or PS3 video game. . . and I'd use them less. So maybe not too bad.
