Led driving lights question

I am installing some led drl's and looking for a key on hot lead under the
hood. Everything I try in the fuse box is hot with the key off. Where can I find a key on hot lead that turns off when you turn off the key. THANKS,

Most systems are off with the key off. You should be able to find one easily. I don;t have my Hayne's manual with me so I can't look, but try like the cruise control circuit or something like that.

Led driving lights question

Turn signals are usually a good one

Don't know the fuse number but LEDs should be very low amperage. I'd do an add a fuse thing to the turn signal fuse and run wire from there.

Where are you installing these at on the car? Adding a housing?
I would recommend just replacing the front turn signal bulbs with some LED Switchbacks. They are white when parking lights on, and turn amber for turn signal. I know not true DRL but come on by simply turning on parking lights.

One changed out in the 1st pic. Stock amber on drivers side.

I do not have a video on how they work, but just google switchback turn signals. White with parking lights, turns Amber when blinking for turn signal.

The pic in the distance is only with parking lights on (LED's in both front lenses) and Halos only. Pretty freaking bright if you ask me.

Have a billet grill in the top and bottom, putting the lights in the bottom, will
post a pic when I get them hooked up.

The smart junction box has at least a few spots that are only powered with ignition on.

Run it off of the cruise control. They will only come on when the motor is running.

Went with a relay that sends power when key is on and kills it when key is off. And hooked to the battery. Here are some pics.Led driving lights question-20151006_171843.jpg
