We can paint the hood struts to match the color of your car for an additional fee. Black and Silver are on sale right now for $89.99 and the Carbon Fiber Look are on Sale for $124.99. If your interested in ordering to match your factory paint color give us a call 734-455-5807

My preference is to remain w/ the factory prop rod and not add the lift kit.

For me, the BIG benefit of the prop rod is that it is very easy to close and latch the hood without pushing on the exterior finish of the hood, leaving a big hand print.

Thx for replying, very interested in your offer to match my factory paint color. How much would these go for ? and would they be powder coated and finished off with a clear !

Got the MRT's, no prints on the hood.........use the latch loop to pull it down and close it with a bit of a drop.......been like that on two cars now with no issues.

I have the CDC struts and when I close the hood I pull down on the striker, so I never touch the painted surface.

I just ordered the MRT painted to match. It's $149.99 plus shipping. I didn't ask whether powder coated or painted but I would assume paint.

Looks good. Wipe down that brake fluid reservoir before it stains. Don't ask me how I know.

BTW, what's happening in 2013? I cant wait until then to find out! Hahaha.

So we know the price, that's a start, but if they're are just painting them, i'm not interested. Paint will flake off as soon as you will tighthen a bolt. I did some parts on my '69 Mach1 back in the days, and everytime i would torque a bolt or nut, it would just crack the paint. I will give them a call tomorrow if i have the time.

I need to detail the engine bay once the weather breaks a bit. I hate how filthy it is.

I can't talk about it now, just stay tuned. You won't be disappointed.

I don't know what he knows specifically, or where he gets his info from. All I know is that what I've heard is nothing but good things.

Dan, have you given the Redline struts a look?

MRT's got installed today. Unfortunately, I did them about an hour before going to work, and ran into the sound tube problem. I was not anticipating taking a random carving tool to my new ride this morning. The kit is great, the struts are nice, but this would be good info to have BEFORE I buy them. On the webpage it should say in bold letters "ATTENTION: YOU WILL HAVE TO BLUDGEON YOUR NEWLY PURCHASED AUTOMOBLIE WITH A CRUDE INSTRUMENT IN ORDER TO INSTALL THIS". Also, the instruction sheet was for a 2005 model. Really?? The customer service was great though, they emailed me the instructions to do the mod right away. Now if I can make a box cutter work, i will be in good shape. If not, a trip to Lowe's will be in my future. Sigh.

Yes, mine are coated black and look like a factory fastener. Since there's only a small plate and ball stud, you only really see the strut itself. I had no issues with fitment when I put mine on.
