Wonder how they'll incorporate the new center stacks?

I for one hope they keep the Mustang interior different from the rest of the other vehicles. And not like the previous generation which was very similar to the other Ford vehicles, plain steering wheel, plain dash, etc. Where as the new model is very different than any of the other current offerings.

If Sean's post is what the 09 will look like, I'm glad I'm getting the 08.

If this is a little more refined so it doesn't look bloated I think you have a winner. Oh and going back to the G concept I think he is blowing hot air saying the new stang is based off his design

I can't help but wonder if I took that front cover and put it on an 05-07 S-197 would it any different than those spy photos?

If its' padded like some are saying then that would explain the hood looking different.

Ford's idea of pulling a fast one on the auto media (putting them off the scent)? Just thinking out loud.

The manager at the Ford dealer near me who orders their stock says that the 2008 is getting the exterior styling changes. He says that the 07 production will end early (end of May) and the redone Stang appears in June or so. This timeline makes more sense if the total redesign is for 2010, dontcha think? The spy photos seem to show the same car with a redone front end.

Why does my brain hurt from reading...

Anyway...
Seriously think about the Guigiaro concept.
Why would they bring an italian designer over and run that car on the Autoshow circuit ... if it had nothing to do with the 2010...

Think REAL hard on this one....
Meld the 2005 and that together and you have your 2010 i bet.

If this is true, there might be a reason to wait.

Take anything a dealer says with a grain of salt.

If this was the case, you would think that Kevin Casey would have seen new part #s in his system by now. Remember he was seeing the 07 GT appearance package hood scoop and the GT/CS side scoops and stripes in his system about 1 year prior to GT/CS production. http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showth...964#post424964

That's already been as much as stated.

No offense...but your manager doesn't know sh*t...like most of 'em.

What he's telling you is a total fantasy. Yes, the '08 is supposed to get a minor (read: minor) front end sheetmetal change. But that's pretty much it.

BC, if 08 is getting a minor front end sheet metal change, then wouldn't it have a different part #?

Where did you hear that there would be a sheet metal change? As I'm planning on ordering an 08, I'd love to know of any changes.

I think I mentioned this earlier in the thread (can't remember), but I was told this privately by a source (a cop who used to work for Ford, actually) who attended the "Showroom of the Future" event at Cobo.

What he said was that the '08s had a minor front end sheetmetal change - again, very minor - and that the 2010 looked quite similar to the S197 but with front and rear treatments inspired by the Guigario. He didn't mention hips, and I don't know why.

But I nevertheless consider him a reliable source...with good vision.

Of course, nothing beats hard evidence, and like you, I am inclined to wait to see what '08 offers before jumping in and ordering an '07.

I agree, cause if i bought one now, and the 08's look fantastic, i would lose a lotta dough trading in.
