I'm impressed, nice driving.

Not the impression I've gotten. Read your tune complaing thread and have obviously noted your signature. When do you graduate?

Yes, 4th gear @ 7250RPM.

Whats your rear tire size?

All I'm saying is I went 119.2 mph (on the rev limiter for 50 feet) on 93 octane and a JLT and a lethal off road x pipe, with a mail order Bama tune with a DA of 713 feet. No ported intake manifold, no E85, no 200 lb weight reduction, no aluminum driveshaft, no light *** 15" race wheels.

I'm not hating on the the ET, hell I'm not even hating on Shaun, I'm just saying the mph isn't impressive for all that. Not when I look at mine anyway. That's a great drag setup driven really well, not necessarily a spectacular tune.

I got money says he puts that stock intake manifold into the 10's NA

Dang that's screaming. I am also curious about tire size. Wondering if a taller rear tire will give you any gains. And also have you tried shifting earlier and using fifth. Just curious.

You are correct Bill, nothing spectacular in the tune.
What is impressive is what Ford gave us in the Coyote/MT82/6R80. All I've been doing in the tune is removing parameters that don't allow full power to get to the ground. Nothing special about that. Hell, it's in the Ford Racing Crate Motor calibrations.

Aside from the tune I've focused on maximizing each bolt-on to it's full potential before moving on to the next modification. Nothing special about that either.

The tires are Hosier 28x10.5 slicks.
And I plan on hitting 10's with the stock intake manifold, stock heads/cams/headers. I do need to find a bit more power and a bit more hook somehow.

FWIW since I'm going thru the traps in 4th well above peak power for a stock intake, 1/4 MPH will be low compared to the 1/8th. The slip posted is my best 1/8th MPH to date at 98. By contrast a few C6 Z06's were trapping 99 and 126 last night.

Normally when you improve your short times you will decrease mph on the big end. Mph means nothing on a drag strip. It's all about the et.

Sounds like you went 119 on stock sized tires not drag radials. Even a slight circumference difference would be enough to cross traps without banging the limiter.

Great times Shaun!!

Yeah he's right about that, 98 is BOOKING for the 1/8. I went similar mph but only went about 93 in the 1/8.

My buddy has a 240 that trapped 129 and went 98 in the 1/8 the same time I was at the track.

Mph is usually a good indicator of power to weight ratio unless its a turbo car that spins. I was referring to the amount of power the car makes, which like Shaun even said is not out of the ordinary.

I don't know why you're saying stock sized tires not drag radials. They were drag radials and my 60' was 1.60. I have tune my limiter isn't stock, I also crossed the traps above 7300 rpm.

Thats not necessarily true, trap speed can be an indicator of overall power, and how much you pull between the 1/8th and the end can tell you a lot as well, or confirm things.

I Shaun's case he knows he is well past peak power through the traps in 4th based on his dyno's, and the comparative data from the drag strip proves it when compared to the ZO6's. The ZO6's are pulling 27mph between the 1/8th and the end, he's only getting around 23 because he is not at an optimal RPM range for power.

Back in my street racing days (ssshhh) if I had access to someone's time slip I could use this kind of data, among other things do decide if I wanted to run them from a dig or from a roll... and it worked very well for me
