I was watching Top Gear UK and Jeremy mentioned the Mustang is finally coming to the UK... but only with a 4-cylinder Eco Boost Engine. I think he summed it up pretty good. There are several better driving cars than the mustang, but the looks of a mustang shows it has attitude. You buy a mustang because it has power and a mean look. What's the point of getting a 4 cylinder? That's why you buy a Focus or a Fiesta.

Oh, and by the way when looking for an economical car... we ended up with the Focus. So I guess I agree with Jeremy.

As a Sales Manager for a BMW dealership I can assure you that there is more to a great car buying experience than just price. Price is important, but not nearly the only thing.
I have to agree with him...ill pay a little more to get my car from my dealership b/c they know me, dont hassle me with my mods. always give me great service, know my name when I walk in and have never paid an ADM. Now, I am not going to pay thousands more. But they have always been within a couple hundred bucks of the best internet deals. Its nice to know when I take my car in for service all the techs know me and will treat me and my car right. Those things mean more than a high volume low personable dealer who can save me $500

I just contacted my dealer about potentially ordering a new stang and he said he'd have no problem ordering one for me and selling it to me at invoice.. Is that good or could I shoot for lower? First time buying a car so I'm a tad inexperienced.

Ask about x-plan/a-plan in the end as long as you are happy with the deal that's all that matters

Invoice is less than X-Plan by about $150-$200, and A-Plan is only available to Ford Motor Company employees and their immediate family members. If Dhawk1313 can get a new Mustang ordered for invoice, that's pretty decent!

Still on the hunt....seems like I'm more knowledgeable than some of the dealers I've been in touch with LOL !! I gave a couple of them the exact order codes etc to be used in CONCEPS and they seemed mystified.

Thanks for everyones comments etc,.

I have X Plan, and I'd be happy with finding a dealer that would order/sell at the true X Plan price less all available & applicable incentives and limit doc fees to $100 like they should.

I am thinking the same as you. This way we know what we want and what we are getting.

Just placed an order with a dealer local to me that I had been avoiding due to a bad experience 12 years ago. Seems like they have changed their ways after reading their reviews on Dealer Rater.

Oh, and $500 BELOW Invoice!!! Almost seems too good to be true!!

Base GT in Sterling Gray optioned with only the 3.73 rear axle and Recaros...$30,993.40.
