Boss Quad Exhaust for GT
I have heard this. I have also heard it replaces the warranty, and I have also heard it augments the warranty. But in imagining what the experience would be like if a piston failed due to a manufacturer defect at 40k, I'm just not sure I believe the TracKey won't be blamed since, as I understand, it's an aftermarket tune.
That being said, I wonder how the new alignment of SVT, FRPP, and RS merging into Ford Performance changes things since they are all now more clearly "part" of FMCO.

With all that aside, I'm wanting to remove them once again because... lol. The QTP cutouts are nice solution but extra cost/install hassle keeps me away from doing.
I have a theory that by adding side 'extra exits' to the exhaust system may decrease the flow that's coming out the back (via axle-back). Isn't it logical to assume the flow pressure will get separated along the way of pipe lines? The reason with this approach is that somehow I feel the side pipes took over my axlebacks (GT500's) or it could just be harmonic illusion to the sound, so to speak. What do you make out of this?
I'm still confused what the 'drone' is, never been to a car with one yet. My experience with baffles removed was that 1) sounded awesome local driven, 2) 'booming' inside the cabin on freeway, gave me headaches so 3/4 plates were put on.

With respect to the flow decreasing out the axleback, I'd have to say that there must be less flow out the back, otherwise there would be no sound out the side. However, I am not convinced it is an appreciable amount performance-wise, since the outlet is at 90° and comparatively small diameter. But sound wise, the side outlets appear to be designed to maximize the engine sound inside the cabin (which is why they are pointed down, among other factors).

Yeah. That's the best way I know how to put it into words. It's not necessarily loud as much as it gives you a headache.
Power wise. I saw a dyno somewhere with it adding 8 whp. Personally I feel like I felt a difference. Was that in my head? Idk. Lol.

Went with restrictors off, I take it?
What's your plan, shaneyusa? Gonna piece it together, wait for the rumored re-release, go third party, or forget about it?

My car definitely sounds faster with side pipes. But like you said it definitely feels faster too.

Not gonna forget about it, just playing the waiting game.
May go the part by part path, but kinda interested in what the rumored replacement option will be. That is, if there really is one. My Stang is stored now for the long winters nap, so i'll be patient. Only want to do this once. But would have loved to have gotten one of these, especially at $625! Just was not quick enough I guess. Very much still want to do this!

I hope your patience pays off with a new $625 kit with no fitment problems.
Thanks, yep no restrictors. My neighbors hate me lol sound addicting.
I think mine feels faster too, but cant be sure since i installed the steeda tune a day before. I gotta say the steeda tune is way better than the ford racing tune. Need fat tires cause i spin 1st and second now, frpp never did that and it pinged.
I was wondering what you did as well. Thanks for the update.
In late November, right before my Tasca order, I was working on one from a Ford dealer in Georgia that came through. Mine will be installed in March/April as my car is stored right now. I think I'll try with no restrictors as well. I was almost going to get a set of the plates now but I guess I'll wait to see how it really is. I don't want to disturb the neighbors and am hoping that it won't be too offensive at low speed. Once I'm off my street I'm not too concerned.
Wild5.0, how serious are you about the neighbors reaction?

Thanks, that's good to know. The immediate neighbors are pretty cool telling me it sounds good with the axle backs when I go down the street.
