I took this picture at the Carlisle Ford Nationals in 2011 mainly because i liked the exhaust setup on this Boss 302 with no idea that I'd ever have a car with it.

Sounds good but different than mine. I saw in your other thread you installed a new CAI, any other engine or exhaust mods?

I'm just curious what factors cause the sound to change, or if it is because I've never heard mine WOT from outside the car.

 

Yeah i have a gt500 axleback, resonator delete, and a steeda tune. How does it sound different louder? Or just the tone?

 

Not sure, louder and raspier maybe? I thought mine sounded "smoother." The resonator delete is probably what I'm hearing.

 

Yeah I think so too, the tune kinda change the tone a little though.

 

Well I am not going to go after this, but I did find one on e-bay. Just in case there is someone out there looking here is your chance. I know nothing about it, but was really tempted to act. Will hold out for now...

That's the same one I found too. I messaged the seller but he isn't set up to ship to canada. (Alberta/Montana boarder)

Anyone have any ideas? Can if pay someone to buy it for me? Or do I need a third party company?

 

Find a UPS or FedEx/Kinkos In Montana, ask them if you can ship there and go pick it up?

 

That's my plan. But it's a 6-7 hour drive from here and not something I'd want to tackle in the mustang. But maybe I pay pay a friend the gas money to drive there in a truck and get it.

 

I assume this is because of the weather? I took a 16 hour road trip in mine and it was glorious. The box is large but should fit with the back seats down.

Anyway, while you are on the phone with UPS/FedEx, maybe ask them if THEY can ship it to Canada?

No worries! I appreciate the suggestions. I would have to win the auction first. I still think $800 is cheaper than the MRP or kooks side pipe alternative. Nothing against those guys; just trying to get bang for my buck.
And yes, because of the snow/weather. I could maybe borrow a friends Mazda 3 or small truck and go get it.

 

Wonder if the seller or UPS would be willing to hold the item for 2 months.

 

Not sure. I emailed the seller today but haven't received a response yet. "Mustangmods" on eBay. The seller was very friendly and professional and their rating was 5 stars all across the board.
I wonder if a forum member could buy it and then I buy it from them? Hmmm. Seems like I'll be out of luck.

 

Well you'd need a forum member in Montana or you are paying a lot of shipping.

 

The girlfriend has an address in the states!!! Somewhere in Phoenix!!! I still have to win the bid obviously, but this thing has been IMPOSSIBLE to find!

 

It's just under $100 to ship UPS from my location to Edmonton. The box is 25 x 37 x 8 in. if you want to calculate shipping from other locations. It weighs 33 lbs IIRC.

 

I am in Lincoln NE. I can check how much it would cost to ship from my work to you if you want?

The overwhelming response from you guys has been amazing!! I'm beyond impressed.
My girlfriend has a cousin or something in Phoenix and they said I can ship there; but if that falls through and a forum member picks up that loose end, I'll gladly get that person a small gift from AM or CJ's pony parts to show my appreciation.
