Boss Quad Exhaust for GT

Just been dreaming lately... Mostly about stuff to spend Christmas money on! But I noticed American Muscle and Ford Racing no longer list the Boss Quad Exhaust for the GT. It is there for the GT500 and 10 and older. But not 11 - 14. AM even has a note they no longer carry it. Anyone no why?

You can still order the part here:
http://www.buyfordracingfromdpm.com/...e-exhaust-kit/

However, I notice they have raised the price $50 since I purchased it a couple months ago from this same site (perhaps because they realize they are the only ones carrying it anymore).

Its my favorite mod so far (really changes the complete driving experience), so perhaps Santa should do some early shopping!

+1 for Boss quads. I've got 3/4" restrictors in to keep the volume down a bit and with the GT500 mufflers it's a beautiful surround sound effect. I blip the throttle on every downshift just to hear it.

Hey-That's a good question and I'm not 100% sure why it had been pulled and I'm happy to dig into it for you but I'm concerned that we may not have it online in the future. If you're looking for another setup and if you don't have our discount code shoot me a PM and I'll get you set up!

Thanks Alex! Unfortunately I am just dreaming right now... Purchasing is another thing. I would only go with the before mentioned Boss exhaust... Am just concerned it will be hard to find in the future since several sources do not list it.

Yes, please. This is down my mod list a ways but now I'm wondering if I need to move it way up.

Anytime and I know how it goes! Keep me in the loop if there's anything else at all I can lend a hand with, I'm always around!

if fordracing has it then you can get it from them. this and gt500 ab's were a mod I have never regretted... also running 3/4 plates. dropped my son off at school this morning, downshifted into second in the 20mph school zone and the lady who helps the kids out of the car told me that she heard me coming... put a smile of my face, wasn't going fast just letting it smack-crackle-POP in decel....

This is what everyone is afraid of. It is no longer shown on their site for 11-14 GTs, only 05-09 GTs and 11-14 GT500s.

Edit: Add year details.

Do it, you'll like the sound. I bought mine from AM a couple months ago, not sure why they don't list it now. I later added the QTP electric cutouts but honestly keep them open all the time. This is a cool mod that you really don't see and it doesn't seem to add any powder, but the sound is heavenly.

best bang for the buck I would never change it.

I saw only one searching for M-5220-MB.

Edit: Searched for "Boss side exhaust" and found a couple more... but be careful to buy the right one because you'll also pick up the GT500 and 3V versions in this search. Also the real Boss 302 system for $1500...

I thought it was a law that car mfgrs had to carry replacement parts for 10 years after the build. Might check in with govt on this one.

Well, this is an aftermarket part as it was not available on GTs from the manufacturer. You may be able to buy the same parts from a Ford dealer (stocked for a Boss 302), but are they exactly the same?

Note, this is my backup plan. How different could a 13 302 be from a 14 GT?

Actually I believe the law is they have to make parts for the duration of the warranty period. Not sure if that includes optional Extended Warranties.

The Ford Racing part number is the complete conversion kit for a car that doesn't have it. It's entirely possible to discontinue that, because it's effectively an aftermarket part. You can still go to the dealer and buy the individual parts that make up the quads from the Boss parts list.

Boss Quads

Do we know if Boss pipes are same size as 14 GT's ? If so we could just order Mid-pipe & side pipes.
