Boss Quad Exhaust for GT
I'm still thinking about pulling the trigger on that boss side exhaust in the morning. I just don't want to seem like an idiot or have buyers remorse.
Sort of like, why pay $1500 for a 40" T.V when you can pay $1300 and get a 50" t.v.
Weird analogy but that's all I could come up with.

from TASCA shipped from RI to Boise. Almost coast to coast. Will update when I know something more.
Tasca cancelled my order about two months ago saying that Ford Racing had discontinued it. If it goes through, it might just have been temporarily unavailable.
I called ford on Friday afternoon and asked them to ship me that exhaust. But I have to call back tomorrow morning.
I know I'm paying a lot more than I should be, but I'm sure I'll be happy with it, and isn't that all that matters?

And no more side exhaust left. Ford rep checked with ford racing, checked all of the internet vendors. Nothing.
Looks like I'm going used, or a kooks or MRT side exhaust.

My Tasca order status just changed to "On Order". Previously, I think it was "Process". Hopefully, they just haven't looked on the right shelf yet and it doesn't really mean that they have to go to Ford Racing to get it. Wishful thinking, I know.
At this point I'd look into the non-Ford components like laserred mentioned. But you might be able to piece the kit together from actual Boss components as well. I.e. using Ford parts, not Ford Racing parts.
If you bought a 2013 Boss with an aftermarket exhaust and wanted to go back to OEM, could they help you?
Also a word of caution for anyone who hasn't seen their exhaust up close yet.
If you go aftermarket you need to make sure the cat side of the h-pipe is flared to fit the ball clamps on the stock cats or you'll be doing some customization. I went to look at the MRT and Kooks stuff we've been discussing as alternates, and some of them don't show the flare in the photo. Could be bad photography, you just need to make sure before you order.
As far as performance, I say it's wishful thinking. I don't think a 90° outlet is going to do much (airflow related) regardless of the diameter, and especially with the stock header and cat. Switch out the headers and change/delete the cat, then maybe. You still need to be making enough exhaust out of the engine to take advantage of the higher output exhaust system which I don't think an otherwise unmodded car would be doing.

When you say "Ford," are you talking about your dealer parts counter? At this point I'd look into the non-Ford components like laserred mentioned. I called Friday and the guy told me ford racing in Michigan were showing as having 1 system left. I should have ordered it then but I assumed they would need cash up front, not cash on delivery so I waited. And I got 1 email this morning from one guy and a phone call from the ford dealer and they both said nothing left.
I'm wondering this as well. Would it be possible to buy the H-pipe separately as well as the 2 side pipes and go that route?
The kit primarily consists of the side and h pipes. There are some gaskets and clamps already attached or welded on, and then attaching hardware for the side outlet (bolting in over by your rear wheel) in a little baggie.
I'm not sure if you need to buy these gaskets or clamps separately. The instruction sheet has a parts list and IPB.

So minimally you would need the two side pipes, the h pipe, and the bolts for the side pipe. You'd ask the dealer which other hardware if any comes with these components, then order the rest separately. Don't bother with the restrictor plates

Edit: forgot to mention that MSRP on just the three pipes is like $1300 so this is probably the last and worst option.

My Tasca order shows an empty status, and an ETA of N/A. Other than order confirm, I have not heard a word. But, I am not too concerned. If it shows up great, I will have a winter project. If not I guess we will look for other options in the Spring. Car is put away until March or April so not in a big hurry.
Would be nice to get it for under $625...

I found one from a website called "fordracingpartsdirect.com (NOT affiliated with Ford or Ford Racing).
They had one left but they don't ship to canada. After emailing the sales guy, he agreed to sell it to me and promptly sent me an invoice. But at $1400 USD ($1588 CDN) which I assume included shipping, I just couldn't do it.
I looked on craigslist and found 3 for sale.
1 hit the seller hasn't responded yet.
2nd hit, the seller is selling side pipes only, so would need the H pipe and the fittings.
3rd hit the seller is selling the complete kit and we are discussing shipping tomorrow.
I hope that providing this info, someone else will ****** it up.
