What gym? Curves? Just looks like some fat a** in a pair of spandex. Bulges in all the wrong places.

LOL Very true. It looks smoother, not tougher. Kind of like they put it in an oven and heated it up until it started to melt a little bit.

Too bad the Mustang will just be a natural bodybuilder were the Camaro and Challenger are Pro's on Steroids. Mustang will be just like Charles Atlas getting sand getting kicked in his face by the 2 muscleheads.

I was actually surprised to see just how many styling elements the 2010 Mustang has in common with the Camaro. Just look at the hood, for example. Or even the hips, to a lesser extent. Even the lower door crease has similarities.

Yea they may have took some styling elements but they should have took some cues from under the hood. Everyone better get their sand goggles on because it going to sting.

It looks better,it looks new edge-y('99-04) to me,which is a great thing. It looks more trim and sportier and i like that the mufflers are covered alittle better
You can't wrong with either car. Which piece of gold would i rather have??

I Agree, I Love the 2010 As Is, but This Comparison Inspired me to play around a little. Possibilities for 2011 or 2012 Maybe?

The Original.

Diffuser Mod

Diffuser Mod and Tail Light Dips Removed.

Diffuser Mod With Tail Light Dips Removed and Back Up's Moved and Replaced With Reflectors.

The Original With the Back Ups Moved and Replaced With Reflectors. Serves 2 Purposes. It Takes Away the Candy Cane Effect, and also Reduces the Amount of Black Plastic Between the Exhaust Tips.

Any chance that you could black out the taillights and back panel?

On the new one that is.

Maybe my thoughts will change when I see it but so far I am just not in love. When I saw the current car my instant thought was "need that car but it probably drives like a 2001-2004). After I drove it, all fears were erased.

The back is a mess. The black rockers just do not do it for me. I hated them on the V6 and the GT500. Makes any car other than a black one look like it is hovering rather than nice and low to the ground. It adds visual height in the upper part of the body.

Baby got back, and this proved it.

Not back in a good way either. It's even *taller* than it was... sheesh.

Please... For the love of Mustanghood everywhere... can we just stop this madness until the 2014 comes out? My eyes can't take much more of it...

Um...I hate to break this to you but the 05-09's are A Lot Taller! By At Least 12 inches....That Antenna is a Frigging Ships Mast!

Honestly, they are the Same Exact Height. From the top edge of the Roof , and the top edge of the Trunk, the Tops of the Front and Rear Wheel Openings, and the Exhaust Tips All Line Up Perfectly. The Only Real Differences are that Antiquated Antenna on the front fender of the 05-09, and a Few Inches Difference in the height of the Rear Bumper Ledge.

houtex,

Like I mentioned earlier, the taillights are higher up on the 2010.

So is the license plate and the faux gas cap. Makes it definitely look higher up in the rear than the '05 cars.

The 05 looks so relaxed were the 10 looks so uptight. It looks like it is all squeezed and puckered to take a dump.
With the black, concave and lights it looks like the Hulk grabbed it and gave it a good pinch on the ****.

Figured I would keep the photo the way it was. The main difference is the positioning of the tailights (as you have pointed out) The rear fascia is actually taller on the 2010+ which is why I feel that it makes the back of the car look fatter and then they squished the taillights to make it appear slimmer.

Are the current car's taillights really that freaking huge, or do the smaller 2010s just make it appear that way?

Interesting... I thought this photo made the 2010 look taller and narrower then the current.
