no comparison. The 2010 is a step in the wrong direction.

 

That is a nice comparison shot. My thoughts. I like the emblem on the new one. Still no love for the lights or the insane amount of black trim along the bottom. However, replace the rear facia and the new one will look pretty good.

 

Red also seems to be a good color for the 2010 because it seems to blend the shape of the taillights into the surrounding body. One thing that also sticks out to me is that the placement of the taillights seems to be higher on the 2010.

 

Not a big fan on the new rears. It looks like it got squished to narrow it up. It's more pronounced to me with the side by side comparo.

 

That's a good point. I think the reason they had to angle the taillights upward is because of the way the rear corners of the car are angled. In other words, it would probably look funny to have that angle (you can't see it from the view directly behind) on the corners with the taillights staying flat would probably look even more strange. Maybe that's why they angled them upwards...

 

I like both. The 2010 does look smaller in the rear and more contemporary.

 

I'll take the top half of the 2010 and the bottom half of the current car.

A little too much black trim but the rear looks a lot better then I thought next to the current model.

Exactly--that would get rid of all that black plastic. The same goes for the front too, as that way we would be rid of the mutton chops as well.

 

'10 is a chiseled '05.....S197 went to the gym...I like it.

 

Spooky, whilst watching that video yesterday, I paused it at that very spot! There's another great comparison at the begining too, showing the front 3/4 of each car.

I love 'em both.

 

Not sold yet.... Need to see it in person.
