Anyone else like me still not liking the S550 design?

I hate the S500 body style so much that I want to order a 2017 Roush Stage 3 in either Grabber Blue or Lightning Blue.

If it could get under 4000lbs, then it would be awesome for both straight line and corner carving.. As in Challenger

The key to the mustang is that the base GT is still pretty affordable. You can option it out of course, but for the base GT price you can get a coupe with the same drivetrain (excepting rear gears I guess) than the premium car that's more comparable in price to the euro coupes I guess.
For now at least you can get a V8 5.0 DOHC with a 6 speed row box and do with it what you want.
Mustang is about equal parts freedom and lineage. You can trace the lineage.
With most vehicles you have to get the higher end car, especially euro models, to get the performance drivetrain.
It's still a pony car.

I agree. I owned an 11 GT500 & for me that was the last Mustang. Why cant Ford let the design evolve as with the Porsche 911? The S197 should have been evolved, not a clean sheet redesign.

Here's some more of my perspective - I have always been a Mustang guy, and always will be. If Ford had offered the 2015 with a Glass Roof, I would've ordered one, even though I didn't love the styling. There's things about every generation that I don't love, but as a whole, the Mustang has always been the complete package for me. Good looks, good value, good performance, good quality. Not the best in anything, but certainly not the worst in anything either.
If it comes down to the govt requiring ALL new cars to be some kind of electric hybrid, would you guys not want the option to buy a Mustang Hybrid versus not having the option to buy a Mustang at all?

Simply, I didn't order a 2015 when it came time to buy my first brand new favorite ordered car, because Ford decided to not engineer a Glass Roof for it Otherwise, I would own a 2015 and not a 2014.

Yep, just because the S197 harkened back to the first gen body style, doesn't mean that the car had to stay stuck on *those* styling cues. The Mustang has evolved a lot over time. Truthfully, the S550 really reminded me of an evolution of the SN95. Being that a 2000 was my first, and 2003 was my second, I didn't hate the 2015 when it came out. I did think it looked too closely related to the Fusion, but look at the Falcon/Galaxie/Mustang of the 60s and tell me they didn't look related. Same with the Fox body era cars, and SN95 Mustang/Contour/Taurus.
