My 997 has the PZero summer tires and I have 20k miles on the front and the rears went out at 13k miles. Keep in mind a 911 has 63% of its weight on the rear of these cars and they chew up rear tires at an alarming rate. I think you could probably squeeze 15-20k miles out of a set as long as you aren't tearing up pavement every chance you get.

Also, manafacturers have different ways they rate tire wear. You can't compare a Pirelli 220 treadware to a Michelin, it has to be among the same manafacturer.

Thanks Dave. 15-20k isn't bad.

And I compared the stock 245/45/19 Pirellis to the 255/40/19 Brembo Pirellis, so that figure I came up with should hold....

I always have gotten more mileage out of the tires on my Mustangs than the tread warranty and I have been known to do some burnouts.

70k on the Gatorbacks, Yoko 501s and BFGs Comp TA all-seasonon my 87 5.0
70k on the Gatorbacks and close to 70k on General UHPs on the 2003 GT
I know those tires aren't pzeros but with proper rotation I hope to go 30k

Hey, on a side note: What do you think about my internal argument about GT versus GT 500? It's not really a price issue, it's a transmission issue. How do you like the Tremec? (I had one in my 03 SVT Cobra, and I hated it). Plus, don't you think the performance difference (I know, I know, 550 versus 412) is marginal? All of this said, I'm leaning toward the Shelby just because... well, you know.

I would say grip 0-60, difference is marginal, but that is where I would stop. Everything else is a big, noticable difference. Including price. I liked the Tremec, except I had mine replaced because it wouldn't reliably go into first gear. You'd feel the first one, maybe two syncros line up, but the third was rare. You'd think you'd be in, and it would just spit you back out with a loud bang. Looks good at a light in traffic.

But ****, be honest 2010 owners your gonna slump down in your seat filled with envy when you see a 5.0 on the road. My 4.6 is fast enough but you know I have never complained about a car being too fast. Sounds like it'll have power similar to a c6 'vette. As nice as my 4.6 is it sure doesn't pull like a c6 vette. ****.
Speak for yourself man, I love my '10!
