Thanks saparish, If you have a first allocation I have been seeing order to getting a scheduled date in just under a month. For me it looks like it will be 3 months order to delivery. For you it could possibly less, but the process has proven itself unpredictable. Good luck!

 

I went to my dealer and he told me that my order was put in as a retail order witch means it has high priority and that it is the first of 2 allocations. Is that a good thing for me? I live 60 miles from flat rock Michigan. Thanks

 

I'm at priority 10. Placed my order on the 2nd, and got my VIN on the 5th. Strange that there is so much variation. I did this with the inventory manager at my dealer. He said to expect assembly to begin 10 days from the 5th, so I'm expecting more news on Monday.

ha, nice. If that's 6-speed, that's identical to my wife's! We ordered ours on 3/22 and no vin yet. Trying to be patient, but getting so excited. I've already (mentally) spent a TON of money in mods! haha.

I received my VIN after 3 days. I remember that the inventory manager just canceled two orders that Ford wanted to send him, so I happened to be there at the right time for him to reorder that same day.

I seemed to be in very capable hands.

 

Well after the LONG wait I am really happy. One hell of a machine, fun to drive, powerful..more than I had hoped for so I thought I would post a picture. Some side scoops, louvers and some side strips will dress it up a little, but for now I kinda like it simple.

ordered a 2014 gt 500 on 3/5/13 out here in so cal from a local ford dealer, the dealer told me 90 days or more, so far they have been right, no vin # no build date no news

 

It WILL come! Our Shelby is on a rail car near Flint MI right now. I am excited to get it BUT we just got 5 new inches of snow last night! UGH! Spring need to get here soon!

 

I ordered my car on 3/1, the preliminary ETA was 4/14...this week when anticipation was getting the best of me they changed it to 4/26, this waiting game really sucks.

 

11 days since I ordered my GT 500 and it feels like 11 weeks. Guess I should have learned "patience" somewhere along the way.

Already mapped out the "short list" for upgrades. This will be a track car & sunny day street car. Can't wait - been looking at the Mustangs since the 5.0 came out in 2010 (2011 model year obviously)... finally was able to pull the trigger!! Now the waiting game begins

Thanks - very excited to pick one up. Will be a big change from the car I've had the past 4 years... 2002 Audi S4 with a number of modifications.

The 5.0 is phenomenal though - I was able to get a 5.0 GT automatic for 10 days as a rental out in Cali back in January. The wife and I both fell in love with it. Planning out my late summer & fall track days already Hope it arrives by June

They build 680 mustangs a day....blah whats taking so long for them to get mine built! lol

 

Hope you get yours soon. I picked mine up Fri and my husband and I spent all day Saturday driving around with the top down trying to break the car in correctly. We didn't really get on it as there isn't any road we felt safe testing it. Even taking it easy the car has power and sounds great. The dealer didn't give me enough notice to replace the GYs immediately like I planned on doing, but with temps in the seventies here the tires weren't a problem. Watch out for the chin spoiler, I scratched mine already. The car is definitely worth the hassle and the wait.
