2014 Ordered/Built/Delivered Thread
well it has finally arrived. tomorrow after work i will be picking up my mustang. She got delivered last tuesday and i had to wait about a week for my parents and i to settle the money im putting down, the insurance and what not. Tomorrow is going to dragggg by but ill post up some pics... if i ever come back from driving it
Just found some mud in the rear wheel wells.... no burnt rubber.
No quality control sticker....30 miles just seems a weird number to begin with on the odometer.
So the pick up is Friday I will have a hundred miles on it before nightfall and the 30 on the odometer will be forgotten

I'm so glad to hear you guys are taking delivery and loving your Mustangs. I've had mine for almost three weeks now and it's wonderful. It reminds me of the '98 Jaguar XK8 convertible I had in many ways. It's a similar color combination - yes that was intentional. It's a relatively heavy car, although the Jag was even heavier. It is incredibly comfortable and rides so well, but at the same time it handles VERY nicely. The Jag was a bit lower, so the Mustang is easier to get in and out of. The power of the Mustang is greater than of the Jag, but the Mustang's mileage is WAY better. This was a GREAT choice.

Woo hoo! Congrats!
Deysha
Per Deysha, from earlier in the thread, Ford operates 1 shift, 5 days a week. Not sure on the shipping but would assume the same. Especially because there is a slump in Mustang sales right now.

Hi! New user here and so happy to find this forum! The family here currently owns four Mustangs, and I added a future fifth on 3/15 by ordering a new one for myself. My new ride will be a '14 GT Premium with California Special package and glass roof in sterling gray. I can hardly wait! I have received my DORA from the dealership and wondered if anyone can give me a current timeframe for my wait, what to expect, and any other details you might want to share to help me pass the time. Thanks!
I just went on Cassens tranports web site and noticed that my car has a pick-up date/ time, no delivery date just AM. Anyone else seen this, looks like I may loose the bet with the dealer on the day they recieve it if it don't come tommorrow.
Just received a tentative ETA of April 14th! I am incredibly excited. I work 3 weeks on, 3 weeks off 500mi from home and the 14th is the Sunday before I get home. This is going to make me 500% more anxious to get home than I've ever been before.
Hopefully she'll be coming home to a new garage ceiling! I've been working on it for the better part of a week. Once it's all up its getting 3 pairs of 8' lights, should be able to see well for my detailing then!

Well Steve, tomorrow is Thursday and even though the weather is iffy, I may take it out anyway - getting impatient! I kept my 2001 Bravada for the same reason you kept your Regal when I got the 2012 White Mustang that got totaled before Christmas with only 3400 mi. I do intend to be driving this one alot more - to neat to let sit! Hope it is a sunny Easter for your trip up - I'm on the Reading side of Allentown

Well I woke up to some white stuff on the car this morning. I drove it into work for the first time today. Of course there was an accident on I-95 on my commute home. Took me an hour to get home. My left leg got a workout. lol
Sorry to hear about the '12 Mustang. I think I would be pretty cautious about the weather conditions if I had a car totaled. I was getting impatient myself. Your are right. The car is too nice to let sit, but it seems that it is also too nice to be a daily driver. That's what I bought mine for. Looks like we get a couple nice days before possibly more snow in the forecast (at least here).

My wife says her parents are maybe 15-20 minutes from you. We occasionally head over to Whitehall/Allentown for shopping. Well hope you get to use the Mustang soon.

took some pictures of the interior and my new shift ****. It looks white because of the flash but its really gray to match the car. Im in love with this new gt put about 30 miles on it just drives around learning the car and its features. I have no problem shifting when i get going but going into first is going to take a while. It bucks sometimes and this **** gas pedal is so sensative i over rev it when trying to get into first not even meaning to. The slightest tap and itll rev to the moon, i shouldnt be complaining about that though so much power i cant wait to experience it all!
