You will have to have your dealer call. Do it sooner rather than later .

 

My last updated ETA I got was 3/20/14. Well its 3/21/14 and still no car. Original ETA was 3/25/14. Let hope we can hit that one.

 

Hopefully any day now it will show up for you.

 

My ETA keeps jumping around between 4/9, 4/10, and 4/11. I've also noticed at least 4 times now when I check the tracking site it has it bumped all the way back to still in production rather than in transit.

Going to call my dealer here in a few and get an update from him.

minneapolis so if its in illinois its **** near halfway here just two days after leaving the plant! but eta is 4/10 still, i have a feeling it will sit where it is for a while until it starts the next leg of the journey, then do the same when it gets to the rail offload point and put on a truck for the final leg.

no doubt id have it next week if its constantly moving but i think there will be a couple lengthy holds along the way

 

I hope they get that other train in gear soon so you can get your new stang next week!

 

Thanks! I talked to the dealer this morning, he thinks it will show up early…I would be perfectly happy if it took until mid-April to show up since the weather here is kind of crappy still but if it shows up early I'm not complaining!

(although I would like it to at least not show until April 1st or later to see if rebates increase on the 1st…)

 

Does anyone know if the window louvers are installed at the factory or if the dealership installs them?

 

Ya it would be nice if the rebates increased....even if it was only $500!!!

 

I believe the factory if you order them.....but they maybe a lot cheaper to order from American Muscle and put on yourself. They come pre painted to the factory color and are put on with 3 tape, just like the factory....Real easy to install

 

The reason I ask is because I purchased the FP8 package because I liked the rims but I don't really like the louvers. I asked the dealership if they could tell the factory not to install them and they said that they couldnt and I would have to remove them myself. I just thought that sounded strange.

 

Mine were on when they rolled it off the truck.

 

When I ordered a 2008 GT/CS I was told at that time that Ford sends the cars to a 3rd party finishing company to install items such as side scoops, louvers, quarter window inserts, striping, etc. Unless things have changed the cars are sent to a 3rd party close to the plant for items like this. So cars with these types of packages get delayed a bit.

 

Ordered 2/27, VIN 3/18, Blend Date of 4/21.......... WTH is that ???? A month for a blend date. It's a GT Premium, Auto, security package, comfort package, rear spoiler delete, and 19" luster nickel wheels. It certainly isn't anything I would consider out of the norm. Why a month to build ???

 

Its been 6-8 weeks on average for most. You also have to remember that the Mustang is build on the same line as the Fusion. There may not be a ton of Mustangs being build there is a ton of Fusions so the 2 combined make for the longer build times. Your dealer should have told you 6-8 weeks minimum for a build. i got the same thing, blend is 4/14, about 4 weeks after getting window sticker, the ones before mine looked like they were getting a week after the sticker.

 

i also was thinking of adding the glass roof, but even though i still have 3 weeks from tomorrow for a build date, they said the computer said it cant make any changes to my order. Maybe its good it will save me $2000, but it would be nice to have.

 

You'd probably just end up frustrated that it didn't open when it was nice outside, I know I would've been which pushed me away from it.
