2013 Mustang Order Guides (including GT500) & Price Lists
Just something about the 2010+ Shelby GT500 shape..... it makes me
so bad.
I love Marilyn, but I'd dump her in an instant to own a Shelby. ANY color. LOL. Money was the reason why I didn't get one.... sigh... if only money grew on trees. It does not, so I had to be realistic. Get a 5.0 now, or wait till I'm 40 to get a Shelby... I needed one NOW
so I got the 5.0.

hey Brian/Jeff...
Here's a question... a buddy of mine might be looking into getting a 2012 GT500, preferrably a Kona Blue one. Can you please provide me a link/list of where I can get the locations of the remaining 2012 GT500's and which dealer it is at??? How would be best way to do that? (other than going on Cars.com or Autotrader.com and searching).

My dealer submitted the order for me yesterday, but I don't understand how they can do that without any pricing for the cars. All I did was contact him about it and tell him the specs I wanted, I didn't sign a single paper or put a single dollar down. So theoretically someone like could say "i dont want it anymore" come May when it is built. Not that I would do that, but why would they submit an order without having a customer sign anything?

And yes I ordered a deep impact blue with the Performance package. Absolutely love the color, and with the black wheels it looks so good. Will need to get a tint on the windows asap to make it look perfect.
I haven't bought from this dealer before though, that's why I was surprised. Probably like cinque35 said, maybe figured the dealership could use a model like that even if I didn't buy.

BUT, I know the owner of the dealership and deal with him, I paid cash on delivery for my last car, and he is a stand up guy, but he expects me to be a stand up guy as well. And I will be, I gave my word I would buy it, and I will. Without a relationship I would be suspect.
Given that I would be a bit apprehensive, something is not right. I have ordered and bought cars from my dealer before. No payment until delivery

This is my sixth time ordering a car and I really like it. First was a Ford, T-Bird Super Coupe, then a Jeep, then a Chevy, and another Chevy, and a Flex, and now one more Ford because I liked my last Ford so much, AWD Flex w/Ecoboost was my latest and it ROCKS. My sixth is the mustang 5.0 with the Brembo package among other things. Yeah, for most of you posters I am an old man but still under 50. If you want to discuss mods I have bleed on my Jeep, and welded on it many times.
One last thing, I am coming from a BMW, but I bought it used.

Because they need to order Mustangs for stock, too, so even if you didn't buy your special ordered Mustang, the dealer will simply have another Mustang available to sell on the lot. If it were some weirdly equipped/colored model, that would be another story. I've ordered a few cars for customers w/o deposits and I'm sure plenty of dealers have, so I don't suspect that your dealer is doing anything odd.

My son ordered an 11 & 12 and both times the dealer did not require a deposit. However, both were not out of the ordinary with respect to color/options.
