I'm just glad they're still making grabber blue
it also looks like they changed the stripe color combinations too. I like the way the black stripes look on the grabber blue. The seats looked ugly to me with white stripes on them.

Does anyone have any insight as to if you can get leather recaro's with a non-premium GT? I have wanted a mustang FOREVER and am finally looking into a base model 13 GT with a stick. Being that this car will probably sticker at around 30k by itself I cant justify the premium package @ 4k. I would Ideally get a base model with leather recaro's (of possible, probably cloth if no leather with base model) with 3.73 and the brembo/torsen package.
For those who have the brembo's on an older GT, is the difference really notable? I assume it really only shows a difference on the track? Do the stock brakes have a tendancy for really bad fade? I would probably only track this car a couple of times so I guess I could just invest in some Hawk Track pads for track days.
The price difference between the '12 base GT with only 3.73 I got about 4 months ago was $29k OTD (that was only with the 1500 rebate at the time). The rebate on 2012's is now 3000 or 0% (3k being the much better deal...I have good credit So I assume I can get a loan from my bank at a 3% give or take). I assume I can get a new 2012 stick base model OTD for about 26k....makes going for the 2013 ( even apples to apples, base '13 with gears is probably an even $31k, so figure 33k OTD, thats 7k difference!).

If dealers sold everything at under invoice and made nothing on accessories, they won't be there very long!! Holdback does help pay for the floorplan of the car, keep the lights on at the dealer, etc.
I couldn't agree more. I was in the car business for almost 20 years and it still amazes me that consumers expect dealers to lose money on a car. If a car isn't sold within 30-60 days and then sells at invoice it's a loser for the dealer. The holdback doesn't cover much if your floorplan your vehicles. True that holdback is more on higher priced units but so are the finance charges. We all have to eat people.
Many may be asking for a price that is not profitable for the dealer, sure, but that's because there is little transparency for the average buyer. They assume the dealer cost is less than what it is etc.
Good example of what I said. If you sell that Fiesta for $100 over invoice, you get a lot more than just $100, you get $544. That's 5 times more. Add in other high-profit fees, like Advertising, and it goes up even more.BTW, what's the holdback on a Mustang or a F150?

Here is something I dont understand about the dark secrets of Car dealers and profits; I bought a 2003 Cobra that stickered for a little over $37,000 for $28,000.00. I wish I could remember what invoice was back then but guessing around $34-35k. Why on earth did they do that deal? It was at closing and the last day of the month and had been sitting there 6 months.....

You can't get leather Recaros with the '13 base model - just cloth.
I have an '11 GT with the Brembo Brake Pkg. It's my daily driver. I've owned a lot of Mustangs (my last was an '07 GT). The Brembo pkg makes a huge and noticable difference every day, IMO. Shorter/surer stops and no fade. I'm sure that the difference will be even greater on the track.
L.A show this coming year 2012? That's too soon!! If you show the car too soon, people will be waiting forever for it and get tired of the delay (see the Camaro drawn out saga from concept to production). I just figured a near-production concept for the New York Show 2013 as its about a year from its on-sale date (April 17th 2014) and the following Detroit show (2014) they would have the fully ready production car there and it would have center stage with the Fusion and F150 already unveiled prior!
