Hey Jeff

This is interesting. I know you're a great source of information and help, but a '15 concept Mustang runs contrary to what I've heard from other reliable sources on here.

Is that wishful thinking on your part, or can I start to get excited about a concept in 2013???

I didn't say the concept would be out in 2015, just the actual car won't be at dealer's lot for another 2 years. I would expect a concept of the car next year. Would it be at Detroit? Maybe, but next year the redesigned F150 is coming. And since the F150 is one of Ford's big moneymakers, they may keep the Mustang away from that show and keep it for maybe...New York, to play off of where the original Mustang made its debut (New York's World Fair). Just my mind thinking I guess.

Cool, gotcha

Yeah, when I said '15 concept, I meant a concept of the '15MY...........it would make sense for this to be shown 12months prior to the production car, no sooner. As everything's pointing to New York in 2014 for the production car, New York 2013 would make sense for a concept to show up.

Here's hoping, anyway

Just got a call from my dealer and he re-submitted my 2013 base 300a gt with recaros/auto. The order went through this time. He also talked to the zone-rep and was told that the order would be picked up for scheduling next week. Still no prices though.

Nice! I have a question though, how would you agree to buy the car from the dealer without getting a final price? Are you planning to talk about pricing after the car is delivered? And do you have any obligations to buy the car now that you've ordered it?

You can negotiate the price in relation to invoice (ie.. 100 over, 500 under, etc.), or even msrp.. After all, prices shouldn't change THAT much compared to last model year and you probably have 1. A good idea of what you want and 2. A ballpark price (from last years price).

I have purchased over a dozen vehicles from this dealership, the sales manager I deal with goes $100.00 over invoice + rebates. They did this on my first purchase and that is why I will continue to buy from them. '13 Mustang is not a total re-do, the price won't go up that much.

That's a great price and everyone is happy. That's the type of deals I like. A hundred or a few over invoice and everyone smiles when its done.

Comparing the '13 Canadian price guide and prices from the '12 mustang options with and without xplan pricing, i figured my 5.0 with the new brembo race package, glass roof, side scoops and leather recaros will ring up around $37,150 give or take a few hundred. This is before tax and includes the destination charge and the xplan. Absolutely amazed im getting this car under 40gs.

No Surprise. As far as the date, I think he's speculating. Whatever and whenever Jeff (05fordgt) gives updates, I think those are golden. He hasn't given any info about the order bank date. Local dealers told me last month I can order a Shelby or a GT... I have little faith/trust in them or their knowledge.

Ordering the same thing, except I'm doing the Brembo brake package and 3.55 gears.

Wow... you're trading in your shelby 09 for a boss 13? Are you concerned about the power loss, etc? Just curious... I don't own either so would have been pleased to own either. I am just wondering.

Well, you can't enter a Boss yet, as I just tried to enter forum member SolidAxle's Boss 302 order and it won't take it. I get so many alerts on the VOC screen like "invalid front seat type" and "invalid paint types". Its crazy!!! Kinda frustrating since I can't get it in the banks.

He's saying Feb 1? That's too long away. Considering they finally gave out Boss 302 allocation, I expect the order banks to accept these orders in a week or two. Definitely before Feb 1st.

I'm not trading in my 09 Shelby but I did sell my 93 Cobra. The only reason I sold that one is due to the fact I only have room for 3 Mustangs at any one time.

I believe the Shelby and the Boss are two completely different cars. The Shelby is great when it comes to fast and straight, but the Boss will be great to take to some upcoming track events!!
