+1 I was debating the boss, but franlky if I am going to track it, Id feel too guilty. Id rather get an older car and make it track specific. That's why im on the fence about getting the PP on the Shelby... It's just a want not a need.

Maybe, but next year the redesigned F150 is coming. And since the F150 is one of Ford's big moneymakers, they may keep the Mustang away from that show and keep it for maybe...New York, to play off of where the original Mustang made its debut (New York's World Fair). Just my mind thinking I guess.
I have a feeling you'll see the F150 at Detroit and a concept Mustang at this years LA Auto show.

A mustang in general is automatically a WANT and not a NEED. Let's be honest here. A need is my 12 year old Civic I have that has 100k miles. Do I NEED a rear wheel drive hp infused Mustang? No. Do I WANT it? HELL YES.

Cuz after the first year or two I'm going to Whipple it! After that, I'm thinkin with 3.73s, 1st gear will be useless givin it any more than half-throttle... I think swapping the gears is relatively inexpensive, so if I'm wrong I can change them... I'm probably wrong lol

L.A show this coming year 2012? That's too soon!! If you show the car too soon, people will be waiting forever for it and get tired of the delay (see the Camaro drawn out saga from concept to production). I just figured a near-production concept for the New York Show 2013 as its about a year from its on-sale date (April 17th 2014) and the following Detroit show (2014) they would have the fully ready production car there and it would have center stage with the Fusion and F150 already unveiled prior!

No US price list? Also, when is production scheduled to start (assuming it hasn't already)?

EDIT #2: Having looked through the order guide, I see that the 3.31 axle is no longer a free standing option on the V6. Shame.

Really? It seems like only yesterday we were hearing about the new-for-2009 F150.

Though, "invoice" is still way above what the dealer is actually ending up paying for the vehicle.

Depends on the car. A $15,585 Fiesta, invoice is $15,267, and there is only $444 in holdback. And if the car sits for a while, that holdback pays for the floorplaning of the car.

I will just say that a dealership is a business and they have the right to earn a living (a few hundred over or X-Plan is fair) Walt, I'm sure that whatever your profession is, your company doesn't sell at their cost prices every day and you don't work for free. Nobody works for free.

Every X-Plan I sell is a mini-deal at $75 BEFORE TAX!!! So I don't make much on new cars at all!!

If dealers sold everything at under invoice and made nothing on accessories, they won't be there very long!! Holdback does help pay for the floorplan of the car, keep the lights on at the dealer, etc.

Hi

I don't understand why they discontinued kona ble metallic, they are still using it for new 2012 orders

Because it ran its course. They had it since 2010, and they usually change up colors every 3 years.
