I read somewhere that scheduling starts Jan 27. One would think the prices would be out before that so there would be more to schedule than just those orders made without pricing? Perhaps I am missing something?

 

WTF Ford!? This doesnt make any sense. I thought for sure pricing would be available by the time scheduling starts. I want to order my **** car and i want to have the first 13 5.0 in my area. I might just bite the bullet.

Well I am seriously considering the new GT500. I put it off as I was sent to Italy for two years... and that just got pushed to a minimum of 3, possibly 4. I can't sit here for that long with the Nuremberg ring so close and not own a mustang, ridiculous insurance rates be damned (over $400 a month at 27 with no accidents and no tickets for a 12 gt500). AAFES our main supplier of all things American apparently only gets 6 a year and lotteries them off... If anyone on here has ever done something like this before and would like to give me some pointers on it, it would be appreciated! I wont want it to arrive till probably late December, early January of 12/13 because I wont be back from deployment till then, so no hurry on that help lol.

 

Theyre taking orders tomorrow & starting build in 1 month and no one knows prices yet? Possible pricing will be available tomorrow? I thought I knew where'd I be cost-wise for a '13 but those Canadian prices have me worried. V6s look like normal price; GTs not so much.

 

Technically, if you order it tomorrow, Ford could schedule the car sooner than waiting a few weeks, as they look for orders to "pull" for production on orders that are in the order bank. That said, I believe Ford will do it just like before, and build the 1st allotment of cars being "stock" units for lots, and after they passed quality control, they will then build retail orders (customer cars). Retail orders for a new year car (especially one that has been refreshed/redesigned) aren't always the ones that appear at the dealership first.

I guess I was off a day concerning scheduling. Anyway, I am considering ordering a 2013 GT but having a hard time ordering a car without a price list. Hopefully, it will be out tomorrow

Hello im new to Mustang source but ive been following this thread since the beginning because i ordered and 2012 from AAFES (im in the army) and when i saw the 2013 i started to wand one and followed this thred to help me get info on one but I finally changer my order to a premium DIB with the 55R(track pack) and Recaro Racing seats so when I get back stated side I want to have some fun and maybe hit a track up.

 

Welcome bud, and thanks for serving our country. I am ordering a similar car except sterling gray and adding the glass roof. I was also going to order a 12 till i found out they were refreshing the design. I believe i made the right choice.

 

Alright fellas, I'm ordering the Stang monday night. Will i need my x-plan pin right away or is that just for delivery?

You will not need it til delivery but I believe the pin is good for 6 months if memory serves me right.
