Anyone remember back in 04 when the S197 were being debuted? So many people saying it would be the death of the mustang, the new Mustang II, no more engine modifications allowed. I'm hoping we get a near production concept early 2013 so I can make my decision on 2011-2014 or 2015+

Yeah I could keep the 04 but I made a deal with the wife, get a '13 and she gets a spot in the garage. Plus it should help keep the price affordable.

Wow man... that looks hot. That 2nd pic was my fave. I can even see your 2011 peeking out. LOL. So that 04 was a cobra and you switched out the blower to a procharger?

Man.... if it were me, I'd keep that 04. That's a classic. If I remember right, only the 03 and 04 were cobras with a blower. Hell, I'd try to keep all 3 But I understand if it must go, or if both must go. I just love all my cars, like family. Getting rid of them is tough. But the 2013 will be a welcome addition. Good luck with everything. You have some beautiful cars there.

I recall many years ago, the same issue with my wife. We made the deal where I promised to turn on the car, heater on, and scrape the ice and snow off, if she let me keep my 2 cars in the garage.

... it didn't go through

Hahahaha. Don't remind her!

I was able to convince my wife to move up from the 13 gt loaded to a 13 Shelby semi-loaded. Sometimes miracles do happen

I'm still working her on that point! I love my 5.0, but I would instantly (and I mean INSTANTLY) drop my 5.0 (Marilyn) for a 2013 Shelby.

You my friend, are VERY lucky. I wish I could afford one Congrats in advance! And the wife is a keeper!!!

Hehe, Thanks! I know, she knows too, I tell her every day. I try not to speak too much about the shelby in front of her (its hard). she may get sick of car talk and take back what she said haha.

LOL, on a related note, yes, I'm still lobbying the wife to agree to a 13 Boss LS...to sweeten the deal, I'm even tempted to sell my STI (and get an older 2.5 RS to rally and dd). Decisions, decisions...Gotta keep the wives happy.

It was just a gt, procharger was added and some other stuff. Definitely hard to get rid of but it's going to a good home. A salesman has been drooling to get it so once it's traded he is taking it for himself out of the back lot through the dealership.

The wife is VERY lenient when it comes to my cars. Hopefully if all works out right I get the '13, in about 4 years we get a new house with a 3 car garage and I can get another toy later. But for now the '13 GT00 had me at hello. I am in love and already have plans for it.

Hahaha, I can just visualize you shrugging. I wish there was a shrug smiley. Those are excellent cars for a dd. I have a 1997 toyota tacoma lol. worlds apart from my mustang

If they are loaded cars (SVTPP, Elec Pkg, Recaros, car cover) there is more room to go!! Spread on a loaded GT500 with all options is just over $5K from sticker to invoice.

I think the one they have is a black loaded sans the glass roof. I know I can get one for way less anyway with X-plan. Like you said somewhere, instead of gettimg me what I want, they push what they want me to buy. Horrible salesmanship and practice. Their desperation is sad too though. As long as they are desperate to sell me a 13 I'll be happy (I know it wont happen though hehe). If you can find me a 13 Grabber blue, im flying out to PA!

Just out of curiosity, why don't you sell the cars yourself? If the salesman is really interested, you could both make out better if you cut out the middle man (or at least you could make out better!). From what I can tell, you take good care of your cars. I would think that you would have no problem finding a buyer (especially since you are waiting for the '13), and would come out far better on the cash end.

I agree. I had hard time selling my Jeep wrangler Rock crawler when I got my 2012 though. I ended up trading it in for a pretty fair value.
