Hey, that @ El Toro, wasn't it! I love that site for AutoX, always head down in the spring for the ProSolo there. +1 for your lens too - 35mm f/1.4 ftw!!

Are you my long lost brother? Lol

I store mine in a large Rubbermaid container as well. I condensed at the beginning of the year....I used to have 2! What products do you prefer using on your car?

Thanks for the responses guys. Been in vacation in brazil so internets been spotty.

Yea it is so close to me, like 20 min away. Love it. Sadly when I return all the events will be in fontucky till it warms up. I know the Porsche club runs good events however they are $75 per meet. I'd rather do the solo2 stuff, way cheaper. Hehe, the camera setup is a 5D Mark II and a 70-200 f/2.8L IS II. I do have a 50mm f/1.4 but that's too wide for races and such.

Yea you're right, I had 13k miles on my 2012 before it was totaled. It mellows out however it's still super raspy compared to the borlas. I really love the tone of roushes, I just needed change hehe.

Haha. Where you been bro!?!?

I have a griotts buffer and pads. For hand polish and wax I love the fat meguiars terry pads. For polish and clay I have been using meguiars pro stuff. For wax I use their nxt 2.0 and mothers carnuba. For microfiber towels, I love the sans club towels. I know there are tons of other good products out there, but I'm not too familiar with em. So many people swear by this or that but I'm not sure if everyone is as paint crazy as I am so I take their opinions with a grain of salt. Also like my camera gear, I'm too invested in one brand to switch over so early. What do you use?

I hear the 4 horsemen in the room. I use Meguire's pro stuff and Sam's TC towels (the orange ones). I also use Mother's Gold class soap, #7 Meg's glaze, and #26 Meg's yellow. Wow, just wow.......

When I got into detailing I bought a PC DA buffer and the hex logic pads. I have messed around with a bunch of products that I purchased from AutoGeek (Wolfgang products mainly) and have since started using Chemical Guys products. My current setup is CG citrus wash, Griot's claybar, CG v36 and v38 for polishing, JetSeal 109 for sealant, and CG 50/50 paste wax for final coating. Tires are maintained with CG VRP and quick touch ups are left to CG Speed Wipe. Meguiar's (sp) has really good products as well. I would like to try their polishes but haven't gotten around to it yet. At least I could buy it locally then if I was in a pinch! As for cameras...I am a Nikonian. Currently own 2 DSLR's. A D70 and a D5000 with all the fixins. I need to get back into photography. I miss it!

Looks like its gonna be a hell of a week. Got back from a 3 week vacation and my car is all effed up. I detailed it and garaged it before I left. 2 kittens got in and made a playpen out of my car. Every square inch is scratched. I'm livid. Almost killed the lil $hits but my wife stopped me. I'll be having a hell of a time the next few days removing scratches from the entire (formerly flawless) paint. Fml.

Wow. I would be livid as well. Hopefully it isn't anything that can't be fixed. GL man.

Thanks man. Spent 4 hours on her. Wash, dry, Clayed the roof and hood and fenders. Haven't slept for 2 days so I'll have to do the rest tomorrow then all the buffing polishing and waxing...

nice write-up! While I don't have the brembo package many of your thoughts mirror mine on my GT Premium with the 3.73 gears.

The car has been a pleasure to own thus far.

Took her out again today. Went from 65 seconds to 57. Nissan GTR was running 49 for a comparison. Last run my tires were too hot and I spun out right before the finish line, I was pretty pissed. Susp was cooperative. Im really hating the lack of headroom, cant turn my head while wearing a helmet. Perhaps i will try a different helmet or chop the seat brackets. serious oversight on fords end... Pix and vid to follow soon!
