I know for sure i can get the performance package for both but i would like to know, does the base have the option of the MyColor system and ambient lighting? What other differences are there?

To answer your question though, The ambient lighting and MyColor features are only with the Premium models. It also gives you leather interior, the 4.2" screen with track apps between the guages, garage door opener, SYNC, bluetooth, the Shaker audio system, etc. Most of the difference will be interior.

 

What about the rear axle? On the 2011's the performance package got you the 3:31 rear ratio axle. I'd say a must on the V6's if you want to have some fun.

 

I got the base, I love it but I wish I wouldve got the performance pack :/

so now that you got the interior all loaded, get the suspension all loaded too with the performance pkg and you get some kickass 19 inch wheels and if you're a man and get the manual you get a "special" engine cover which can be bought on ebay for $150 anyway

The V6 Premium Performance package in a nut shell is a GT Premium with the exception of a V6 engine instead, Same suspension, Same tranny, Same Brakes, Same leather seats, Same shaker, Same anti-sway bars etc.. IMO Performance Package is the way to go!!

Is the performance package even worth it on our V6's?

From what I remember we already have 2010 GT suspension and brakes.

 

the wheels and pirellis alone are worth more than half of the $1995 price. Its a win win package tho because ford still makes money by you saving money (in regards to the 3.31 gears). Those gears don't cost ford any more than the 2.73 gears to install while they're building the car, and you don't have to pay $600 to get them after the fact. I chose not to get the PP because I would have ended up buying winter wheels and tires but its definitely a value

Well, I am going to get 4.56 gears anyways, so oh well.

The premium coupe in Canada does not include the leather seats, you have to pay an additional $1500 for them.
