U can still see the wheels if you go with the brembo package (Build and price a 2011 on Fordvehicles.com). I saw the Lava on a 2010 F150 Harley davidson. I will be paying $100 over invoice minus rebates avail in March. I went with the glass roof but it may not be for everyone. It does have a retractable screen that blocks out sun but mine will also not be an every day driver!

Glass roof is nice, I have a coworker that has one.

That said, I wish a power moonroof was available. I'm going to miss driving with the roof open like on my SHO and my Focus. And no, unfortunately the vert wasn't an option to me...

I would personally believe the order guide before I would believe the dealer. Some dealers really do not know what they are doing with the 2012s. It is more important for them to sell what they already have. The packages are very well laid out in the order guide. I think that they should actually try reading the order guide before opening their mouth. The Comfort package does not come with HIDs. There is a Security System and reverse sensing system package that you can get if you do not like HIDs. I got the package with all three though because I wanted HIDs

What is in the order guide is correct:

Reverse Sensing System & Security Pkg. (43S)

Includes:
— Reverse Sensing System
— Active Anti-Theft System
— Wheel Locking Kit

HID Headlamps & Security Pkg. (43T)

Includes:
— HID Headlamps
— Active Anti-Theft System
— Wheel Locking Kit

Note: When ordered with (43S) a discount will be provided for duplicate content
-------------------

So you to get the factory alarm without the HIDs you have to take the 43S, but you have to take the Reverse sensing system.

No prices here. Is it the "price guide" that I need? It was posted for 2011 some time ago...dealer cost on all models and options.

The 'Build your Own' feature on the Ford site will give you retail prices and more drool fodder

I've found dealer invoice to be ~ 8% less than msrp on the base price and ~ 13% less on all options

Tell (or PM) me the model, trim, color, and options you want and I'll build it in Ford's system to quote you MSRP & the factory invoice total.

Anyone out there have any info on when Ford starts building Convertibles? My local dealer said they would let me know but I have not heard anything. I need to know an approximate delivery date before I put my daily ride up for sale! Looking to order a V6 Premium Vert., Red Candy/Saddle, Pony Pkg, Elect. pkg, Comfort pkg, Security pkg. Once in the garage: Flowmaster Axle backs, Steeda Sport springs, MMR CAI, Stack Racing STB, Engine Insulator, Hood Struts, Billet Grill...etc.

Starts building convertibles??? I have already seen a 2012 vert in person. They started building them along with all the other ones. You can look in the Lava Red section for pictures, just in case you do not believe me. Ordering a new 2012 will not be as slow as it was for me, but there are variables. If you are going to put your car up for sale, I would first go to a dealer that has allocation for the car to be built soon, then I would put it up for sale after you get the vin and build week. You would have to order the car, wait for the vin to be assigned and build week given, then you should be fairly confident that you have a pretty accurate ETA give or take a week or two.

Thanks Itravelalot! I did look at those and some in the other colors too. Looks like my dealer doesn't really know what they are talking about...again. I am new to this forum and just getting started again. I haven't played with customizing a new Mustang in nearly 12 years and am looking forward to it again! I will go down and try to find out if they have any allocations and put my 2000 up for sale only after i have an ETA as you reccommend.

Hi Tripleshot McC,

Welcome to the forum! Itravelalot is right. You are able to order your V6 convertible with all the packages you listed. Please speak to your dealer and pick and choose as your wish!
