If the bills are all paid, and you've got some cash in the bank for that "rainy day', go ahead and do a little modding. Money is nothing but green paper until you spend it, and it's a lot more fun to spend on stuff you enjoy and care about than pi$$ing it away on some keeping up with the Joneses lifestyle.

I have been able to hold off but lately I ve been really impatient. So after thinking it over, I came to the assumption that maybe its time to let the pony go and switch to something I ll enjoy but that I wont want to mod, like a truck or a fun sporty sedan. Or should I just stick it out until I can get the green light? Just looking for ppl s .02 cents.
Something you want to enjoy but not mod? Get a BMW.. Flame!

What type of mods? I'm guessing its due to "spending money on your stupid car" or at least that's what I've heard over and over and over and over again. Just tell her you are going to mod your car or start fishing. A man needs a hobby. You might get a boat out the deal.

Very true.

BTW - the mustang is a family car too. I have two child seats in the back of mine, which was a major selling point for the wife!

Not to hijack the original thread, but could you post a pic of how that works? Guessing they're both front-facing? It's the rear-facing time that's going to be the toughest I would think. One of those will probably fit behind the passenger seat, but not behind me when driving!

One is front facing, which easy in and out. The other is rear facing, which is tougher to get the kiddo in and out - it also limits how far back you can put the front seat. Not ideal, but livable if you don't have to do it every day. I'll try to post a picture as soon as I get a chance.

Remember, happy Wife happy life. Keep the Mustang, mods can be obtained on special occasions like birthdays, and Christmas. Good luck brother.

And, whatever you don't buy an F-150 thinking you will not want to mod the thing. From experience that just doesn't work.

Well i thank everyone for ur opinions and I think I ll just keep it and stick i out a little longer. I have done some mods, but the last thing I want to finish the exterior is rims and tires, which is the most expensive. So I was thinking of maybe buying one rim at a time.

I have been married a long time - and I am a car guy as a hobby. One thing that has helped me stay married and play with cars is that I learned NOT to be a jerk about the whole "jewelry" thing. I don't understand it and really think it's a dumb thing to spend $$$ on, but... over the years I have bought her a number of baubles to wear, and I have enjoyed motorcycles and cars... just sayin'... !

If this helps any of you younger guys then I feel good.

Ya know when I bought the mustang I sai I wasn't gonna mod it since it was already a quick car. Over 10k later I'm still modding. I said the same thing with my truck,...modding isn't something you stop. It consumes you until your wife kills you.

The Raptor is pricey, but I highly recommend looking into this vehicle, the Ford Tremor.
