Anyone have any idea where to get some?

I called my local ford dealer they said they do not sell them at all you have to buy a whole tpms.

Also i do not want the metal replacement ones just the OEM( the none OEM ones are to small don't like how they look)?

The last time I went to the parts department to get a screw for the door panel, I was told that they were $1.50 each and I would have to buy a pack of 10. Maybe your lucked out when they said they didn't sell the caps, you would have probably been required to buy a pack rather than just one.

A tire shop doesn't sell the ford ones they use the general ones which don't fit good.

guess have to wait for next time I go in for service and see if he can throw a few in thanks for your replys.

I never realized plastic caps were so critical in the cars appearance. What happened to the stock ones?

A friend decided it would be funny to take them off then lost half of them..

And its just a personal preference thing about the metal ones.

Stock caps are the only way to go, anything else is gaudy.

I know what you mean about non ford caps not fitting. They are not long enough and the bronze thread shows. I have black rims and this is an important detail most people wouldn't notice.

However, I have two extra oem mustang caps I can sell you for a couple of bucks.

Btw as you can see from my little hardware box. I stock up on original body screws, caps, nylon retainers and so on. They are always lost during mods.

I respect your opinion, but the piston caps on my car look completely correct for her. On other wheels, maybe not so much. Perhaps that's the thing, isn't it? Has to go with the wheels, I suppose, or disappear/camoflauge themselves otherwise?

If you like them, that's fine, but I would just like people to notice the wheels and not the caps.

How about the parking lot of the dealer that wouldn't sell them to you? LOL

Seriously, though, any auto parts store has them. The factory ones are nothing special. They look just like the ones in advance or autozone. You can buy a 50 pack on ebay for 10 bucks: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Plastic-Cap-...sories&vxp=mtr

Not doubting the ones in the auction but I am yet to find caps from auto stores or wal-mart that fit the 10-12 stems. My other mustangs, no problem. For some reason, the caps are really long.

Amazon has Dorman long black valve stem caps for replacement on OEM TPMS valve stems. Unfortunately, they only sell in packs of 50 for $25:
Amazon.com: 50 Black Valve Stem Tpms Caps Replaces 25858636 Long: Automotive Amazon.com: 50 Black Valve Stem Tpms Caps Replaces 25858636 Long: Automotive

My car came with chrome caps with green centers due to the nitrogen fill. I figured they came from Ford that way but they may have been dealer installed.

Well, then why buy a Mustang? I want them to notice the whole package, myself.

/I see your point, though.

Fancy caps are great for those that want to apply details to their car. IMO though, it just promotes the snotty nosed brats to steal them while parked in a parking lot. The black stock caps prevent that.
If I lived close to the OP of this thread, I'd have to keep a cloce eye out on my simple black caps!

I just ordered these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-Mustang...orcev4exp=true

They look like they'd be difficult enough to get off to stop the punk kids. I'm not generally into gaudy add-ons myself, but I kinda like little things like this, and the wife loves them, so that sealed the deal. LOL
