A Brembo GT (with the 10-15K you offer) in suspension, wheels, tires, and bolt ons. Better put a leash on the Boss when you get to the track, and bring a pooper scooper, because it is going to get walked. Repeatedly.

Translation: I cannot for the life of me name a single solitary stock production car anywhere near the class/sticker of the BOSS that can touch it on the track.

Despite how it may appear, I'm not being plucky or rude - just objective.
Take $55,000, go shopping and bring us something off the showroom floor that can take the BOSS on the track.

A stock Vette? Okay, you're trying to be funny. That's kool, I laughed. Especially the part where you went "/thread."
You're into cars, so you know that the Vette comes with the same engine GM is putting in the Camaro SS. It's an inferior engine (with less HP) which the BOSS destroys in the 1/4 mile, the 1 mile straight and on several tracks where both have went head-to-head.
Here's some performance perspective from 3rd party sources:
Motor Trend at Laguna Seca Raceway:
BOSS Beats BMW M3, Corvette Z06, Mercedes SLS AMG, Porsche Cayman, Porsche 997 Carrera, V12 Aston Martin, Shelby GT 500.

BOSS dominates 6.2 liter Camaro SS lap time by over 2 seconds at New Jersey Motorsports Park
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jr3SwDviPQ0
BOSS vs. 424 HP Camaro SS on 1 mile straight-drag:
BOSS 33.11 seconds/150.16 MPH
Camaro SS 35.54 seconds/146.32 MPH
href=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-REiMvxxamA
Laguna Seca lap times (Motortrend):
Mustang GT 500 1:44.32
BMW M3 1:42.96
Audi R8 1:40.75
BOSS 302 1:40.21

I see this too much on the m3 forums vs the 335i. Basically if you have to ask its not for you....budget minded people will only be happy by getting the best bargain while drivers will only be happy with the best car. In this case the boss is really a better car than the sum of its parts
This weekend, I drove a boss, e92 m3, s2k and a z4m on a track and the boss was hands down the most engaging to drive not to mention the quickest. It was interesting to see how I had a 3sec gap vs a 2011 5.0 with track wheels/tires suspension, gutted, and alignment. Real cool guy and he's been on this track a couple times and it was my second time.

for that matter last month when i was there i pushed a guy in a porsche gt3 hard enough that he insisted the car was blown until i popped the hood. he didnt leave the paddock until well after me the remainder of the day. again supposedly equal drivers, he actually had more time than me on that track in that gt3. the boss is more than the sum of its parts.

Hahaha, now there is a stretch. Talk about skewing data to meet your needs.
The times you are using are all over the place. You are using times from a 2012 Laguna Seca, and comparing them to times from years ago with different drivers and different track conditions.
The Z06 time you're saying it beats was from 2005 for God's sake.
Here is the list..
http://www.fastestlaps.com/tracks/laguna_seca.html
Then you want to start using the Camaro as the comparison because it has the same engine as the Corvette? Hahaha, yeah. Because those two cars obviously lay down the same performance numbers, I mean they have the same engine right?
Since the 5.0 F150 has the same engine as the Mustang GT, I suppose the Camaro guys should compare the SS to the F150 to show how the Camaro is faster than the Mustang.
Seems logical.
And just for good measure. GT500 vs Boss LS vs GT vs V6. Same driver, same track, same day.

So we can all be in agreement that the Boss is a far superior track racing car than the 5.0 and any other car currently on the planet. That's not what the thread was about. This thread was not questioning on how legitimate the Boss is or is not. Its clear the Boss is the ultimate vehicle and after seeing the reactions by people its evident owners of Boss mustangs have deep seeded mental issues who need professional help and medications. It was just to give a open minded opinion and point of view comparing one model stang to another stang in regard to Bang for buck and peoples desires in what their using their stang for.
Let the good times roll! Long live all stangs.
Oh and the comment made about me not being a car guy, that depends on what your definition is of a car guy. If its someone racing car on race track, then nope im not a car guy.

You compare the "motor" of two totally different GM cars to give a perspective on how the Boss stacks up against the Camaro.... that's like comparing the 2011 F-150 with the 5.0 against a Camaro and saying the Camaro would beat the Mustang GT because it's the same motor?
Let's wait for some comparo tests to come out with the Boss vs. a base vette or a grand sport before making claims.
