I kinda wish they didn't show these limited pictures once a month and would just unveil the car in the spring or something.

I may sound like an idiot, but I hate having to wait...I almost would rather not know what it looks like right now than to just get bits and pieces every now and again...

Yes, the styling cues from both '71 to '73 and the Giugiaro are evident, aren't they? And yet this new design seems to have its own uniqueness, too.

I hope Ford continues this trend beyond 2014 and continues to evolve the classic Mustang design ethos, just as Porsche has done (successfully, I might add) for a half-century.

I understand your feelings, but it makes perfect marketing sense for Ford to whip buyers into a frenzy by tantalizing them each month.

Judging from the comments around here, it's working.

Well your opinion is based on a pretty small sampling. The only people checking out these weekly photo releases are die hard Mustangs owners.
Joe and Jill Average don't have a clue about these photo releases- and probably don't care. Likewise those who like Dodge, or GM (for example) are probably not spending any amount of time searching for info.

So that just leaves a very small segment- who for the most part are GOING to be buying a new Mustang, either a 2010 or 11 or 12. So it's the loyal Mustang lover that is getting shafted with this slow strip tease.
If anything we should be the FIRST to see the complete model!

Conversely, Ford is also providing a countdown to the full reveal. If the slow striptease approach is too much to handle, there's no reason not to simply wait for that just like everyone else.

I'm really liking it. It' reminds me of the Corvette's evolution. I do believe that Ford has seen the light of "timeless" design.

That's what I've been assuming. Much like how the 2005 concept was spun off the actual production design. A very effective way to test the waters, IMO.

Reminds me of the '71 - '73 Stangs. Looks like this is really coming together. I love it!
Looks like I was a little slow on this observation, LOL.

I noticed the similarity yesterday too. Glad someone here has the skills to put the two next to each other. Thanks.

Heh. The only skill involved was tracking down a '71-'73 shot that was even remotely close to being at the right angle.
