Yeah, LOVE the fender line in the front and mirror....
VERY smooth yet cut.
Flows VERY nicely
I bet when you compare every line from the 05 to the 10...
you'll be amazed at HOW different it looks yet you know where it came from.

A sportier, more-aggressive front grille and fascia lead the 2010 Mustang down the road. Slimmer headlamps that integrate the turn indicators are incorporated in a larger grille that expresses power and performance. Large twin fog lamps on the GT model further emphasize Mustang’s muscle-car DNA, which takes on a stealthy persona for the GT with dark headlamp bezels and grille surrounds. Also on the GT, the pony badge is finished in dark chrome for the first time. The pony itself received a makeover and is a more chiseled and defined interpretation of the American icon, galloping proudly on the front grille.
“We want people to unequivocally know this is a Mustang when they see it,” said Douglas Gaffka, Chief Designer, 2010 Mustang. “The stronger, more-muscular front end of the 2010 Mustang does just that.”
Brute strength can be beautiful as well, however. The sculpted, flowing lines convey style and grace as well as raw power, underscoring Mustang’s continuing mantra of Fast, Fun and Affordable.
“The 2010 Mustang has a sculpted, crafted look,” said George Saridakis, Design Manager, 2010 Mustang. “The flowing lines are in keeping with Mustang’s heritage and DNA. It conveys the sense and attitude of power and performance.”

Thanks, DC.
Looks to me like they pulled the skin tighter over the wheels. More sculptural like the change from the 'boxy' 65-66 to the sculptured 67-68, and do I see little hood spears/fins like 67-70?
To the detractors, I think Boomer called this correctly earlier in the thread. You should compare this pic to the current car, and it'll give you many clues as to what's been done under the camo. Like the Porsche 911, the overall "theme" of the car may stay the same, but the beauty is in what they've done to change all the blocky surfaces of the current car into stretched, angry shapes. Its going to catch light the right way and look very aggressive and sinister, especially with the more squinty lights. Now I don't need my insider telling me it's gonna look awesome- can see it for myself.

Also, no more archaic antennae on the front fender. They moved it to the rear..I only wish they would put it in the windshield as most higherend cars do. At least they took that hideous thing off of the fender. In all the press shots of the S197 they PS'd the antennae off of the fender..it's about **** time.

Putting the antenna in the rear window won't work, because you have coupe and convertible. Also, putting it in the window sucks for radio reception. I don't mind it on the exterior, but needs to be done OK. Focus, Audi, VW have em on the roof. Maybe if they did it in the A pillars or windshield surround, then it could be common piece.

That something so minimal would cost a lot for retooling. Especially since nothing else changed about the shape of said window. The rear quarter panel was already being reshaped, so it made sense to move it there. Now the next version will probably fix this issue altogether.
