I don't care for the rear either, especially how the rear valance is tapered around the tailights. IMO those tapered corners surrounding the tailights, look more like the corners around somebody's mouth lol.

I do not like the rear at all. The front is ok but I don't like the amber lights next to the light. I think its an 05+ model with a poor face lift. 2 out of 5 stars for new face lift. I will wait for 2012+ or so for the total redesign.

I was not all that impressed with the car front or rear.

As I said before, I'll wait for the full reveal before passing judgment. Otherwise I'll just wait until the all new GRWD platform launches in 2014, marking the 50th anniversary edition debut !

I think a lot of people will change their tune once this puppy is shown officially. Trying to judge it now is like seeing a model with no make up on wearing grandma panties

I think I'm only going to really like the 2010 with mods. Maybe the right mods will make a difference for me. I know it sounds crazy to already be thinking exterior mods, but there a miscues in this car that don't suit my taste. I hope I'm wrong.

Yes very true... The new look is starting to grow on me as with all Mustangs... I will probably still get an '09 if there is no performance gain on the '10... And if so then in 2014 I get the new MACH 1

To me it looks like they carried a lot of the current GT500 styling over to the GT. Not a bad thing but I wonder if some GT500 owners will be ticked

is it my imagination or do the quarter windows look masked??? hoping for SHR-like louvers under there...the fronts OK, but the taillamps 'dont look mustang' enough for me, and was hoping for more bulge on the quarters...cant see on the pics, but is the hockeystick crease still there or does it wrap around now?

saleen367, you may not like the looks of the new car, but it will be a better car all around with personal styling tastes put aside
I think you guys misunderstood ... my 2008 MSRP'd at $32000 and I got it for just over $26000 ... whats the chance of Ford offering incentives on 2010's?? None ... that's my point. I'm sure the new design will grow on me over time, but as for now I don't see any need to go out and spend $6000 more then what the current model is selling new at. Time will tell if the upgraded Mustang is worth the extra $. As of right now the added advantages of the 2010 are all speculation ... My $.02

Talking

I think the biggest selling point will be the powerplant. If the car comes with the 400+ HP 5.0 it will look better to most than it does right now. Its like beer goggles. More HP can make you oversee the little things you dislike.

I agree, but I'd take whatever one came with Sarah Palin.
