You can remove the steering wheel spokes individually. The whole pieces comes off after you pry around the edges. The back of it remains part of the whole steering wheel but the front covers pop up with some force. There is no need to remove the horn and airbag since that's not actually holding the spokes down. Be careful when removing if you have steering wheel controls. They are modules that stay on the steering wheel when you remove the trim pieces and you don't have to unplug them. They just slide into a slot on the inside of the trim piece. Once you're done, just slide them back on and push them down!

Pretty easy actually to wrap them too. As usual, just take your time. I cut out a rectangle of the wrap bigger than the trim piece and covered the front face of it first. Then i cut a slit in down the middle where the gap is but leaving room to tuck it in around the edges. For the flatter sides, I just folded over the edge and then I had to take my time really conforming to the curved edge but with a little heat and extra material, it works. You can cut little relief slits along the edge of the vinyl before you tuck it around the thin back edge of the trim. This alleviates some of the strain on the material. Just don't cut the slits all the way to the trim piece or you'll see gaps where the original finish shows through. Once the trim is back on the steering wheel, any pieces you folded around the back edges are hidden by being flush with the steering wheel or controls again. Hope this helps

It is sir. It's a 2008 Harley Nightrod Special with a fair amount of mods. 1250cc liquid cooled 60* V twin. 130hp/93ft/lbs of torque...9000rpm redline. Not the typical Harley potato masher! I put almost more miles on it during the summer than the Mustang. Riding is a great escape and adrenalin rush for me...much more so than the Mustang. The problem is the number of brain dead motorists out there is getting so high I'm getting apprehensive to ride it. On Monday one of my coworkers was taken out on his bike and I had the misfortune of driving by the crash on my way home. I prayed to God all night it wasn't Donny but as I found out Tuesday morning, it was. He's going to be ok but he's busted up pretty bad. Again I say, watch for motorcycles guys and gals. Riders have loved ones expecting them home each night as well.

That is very true. The world is getting dumber sadly. That night rod is beautiful. I have my sights set on a v-rod of some sort eventually. the less chrome the better though

I too get a better rush from my bike than my mustang but it's a biker thing.

It might just be my imagination but it seems to me that SGM has more metallic content than other Ford metallics. SGM really pops....yours is no exception.

 

Yeah, I always ride like someone is trying to kill me (A.T.G.A.T.T) and it makes me nervous while out there for sure... But I definitely get more of a rush on my bike as well. I messed up my ankle about a month ago and haven't been able to ride and it's been killing me, especially on the nice days!!

Your car is looking gorgeous! I'm partial to SGM too (my truck). it really does pop nicely in the sun AND doesn't show the dust as much as darker colors.

 

I park with Don almost every week at a cruise in Northern NJ. He's even more of a fanatic than me, and like many of us, freaks with all the dust and pollen lately. You'd think a darker color like SGM would as bad as DIB or black but I don't see it on his car. He's got one of the cleanest cars I've ever seen.
