Pete's 1994 Mustang GT Diary thread
I almost mentioned that you could get a 03-04 Mach for less than 20k... but now that other people brought up that 20k is way to high for the bullitt.... maybe i'll mention it.

Has anyone had any luck at replicating Crystal White with a spray paint? I have a spare fender and I got a quote for 90 bucks to paint it to match the rest of my paint; so I was just going to see if I could get away with painting it with a spray can since I'm hoping to get paint sometime soon anyhow. If it doesn't look good I can always just keep the old one on, just curious to see if anyone has had luck with a rattle can matching CW.

Sorry but please dont. There are plenty of people that live around me that have done this and it looks like crap. Save up a little money and let the pros do it.
$90 is nothing. Do it the right way.

I was only asking if someone had been successful.
I think that I may as well try to see how horrible it looks, since I have the equipment. Like I said, if it doesn't look good enough to get Arin's stamp of approval, then it will be left off the car.

The trick of a good looking rattle can paint job is to buy one from a paint shop with your paint code. I bought 2 cans for around$30 and then clear coat with a spray gun on a friends house w a compressor. The clear is the important part.

Thanks! That's exactly the kind of advice I was hoping for. I need to talk Arin into splitting the cost of a paint gun so we can try our waters with that.
Chicka chicka yeeeeaaaahhh
We done got the hood stripe and the vents on the hood. We also painted the blacked out tailight panel bec it had faded to hell. The car looks way sicker than it did before. We is proud

I'm very pleased with this. Never fear the spray paint is not going to touch the other fender. I think I'm going to find somewhere that will paint it for me, but I guess it'll be way later
The above was typed by Peter. He is a lardass

(Crappy Camera Pics Warning)

(And then there's Arin's camera...
)

I'm liking it more and more every time I look at it.
Edit: Arin, my pictures disappeared...

I'm working on it guys, I lost my camera cord to connect it to the computer, so it is a bit difficult. I'm in search of the card reader as I type, though.
