Because of some paper in the way.

This caliper started looking a little patriotic.

Put some paper in the way, and it turned out alright.

Fully bolted in place.

Bolted on the wheels.
And here's the finished product.

Looks pretty good if I do say so myself. I'll upload some of our in progress mug shots later tomorrow. Gotta say, I had my doubts but its not bad.

And to all of you wondering, yes, we're a pair of hacks. We have no idea what we're doing most of the time :P Thats why my Bullitt is staying stock

Maybe next time we can fix the broken parts lol

PS: way to jack my title

I still can't believe I lost that fender... wtf? Maybe it got stolen or something... I dunno. I'll have to look for it again sometime.

Thanks for coming down to help, I appreciate it.

here we go...

Step one: Jack up car and remove wheels

Step 2, remove caliper and rotor. you dont really need to remove the rotor, but it was convenient for us to do so

step 3, scuff up the existing paint (if any) to have a rough surface for the primer to stick to

step 4, wash off any dust or particles that would get in the way of a good coat of paint

step 5, mask off all the thingies you dont want to match your calipers

step 6, apply a coat of primer

step 7, snack

step 8, apply coat of blue. repeat as often as the can says to until you're happy. i only saw this one coat of this one caliper before i had to leave, so after this, ask peter

step 9, leave peter's house in your own, prettier, mustang, whose calipers were already painted

Nobody else seems to like this thread Arin. I think you were right, way back when, when you said people were intimidated by threads that only had us posting in them.

I think they turned out pretty good! I like the picture of you guys at the restaurant, even if you had never seen a picture of Arin before you would know that it was him taking the picture because he has to have the seat that looks directly out the window to his bullit! I do the same thing

She's on the street right now! :-p As soon as the owner sends me the registration/pink slip then I can get it smogged, and then it'll be all downhill from there. I think I'm leaking tranny fluid while I'm driving that starts burning when it gets hot... But that shouldn't affect a smog test, since I'll drop it off cold, and I would assume they don't run it hard enough during the test to get the tranny smoking.

Lmao, it's a pretty car, I would have wanted to sit where I could see it, but you are 100% correct on that.

Once you get that puppy runnin Pete, we're going to need to do some cruisin' and photoshootin'

98stangV6-- You are as right as can be. I sat there specifically to see my car. Every restraunt I go to, if i have a choice, I make sure I can see my baby. Not just to watch her in case something happens, but just cuz shes so pretty lol

and pete, you should have done a writeup for the thermostat, just for the hell of it lol. snap some pics of the rears when you're done and also, when its driveable, get your *** over here to work on the II
