Need to install my front springs and mid pipe and once thats done I'll be happy. About to pull the trigger on some 4.10's. Other stuff for this year I am thinking about is new fog lights, new gauges, rear seat delete, pedals, shift ****, Le Mans stripes, etc. Mostly cosmetic stuff because I cant really do much more to the car performance wise myself. Next year however will be the year of the Kenne Bell 2.4L supercharger!

I'm definatley getting a new set of wheels/tires for the summer (can't wait to put away the winters)... I'm getting AFS 17" black-chrome bullitts. If I can afford it this year I also want to get a K&N CAI, Pro 5.0 shifter and rear window louvers, just basic stuff. But the wheels/tires may be all I get this year cuz the wife and I are working on our 1st kid

come'on a 50 shot is a cop out. UP the boost to reach 10's!

but seriously if you can do it with only a 50 then you should really shoot for 10's on boost only.

remember knight, 50 shot on a boosted motor (at higher psi lvls like his) is like a 150 shot on a stock motor.. makes a BUNCH more trq and hp.

I did forget about the effect on the compressed air.. I was just kidding anyway. but it would be cool to do it without. Just knowing you can run 10's all day whenever you want. but reguardless 10's is cool however you get there.

Let me start out by saying that I'm an old fart and don't run at the track. My only measurement is the seat-o-pants meter. I just finished adding a HPS intake, Trick Flow upper and a BBK 75mm TB. I also added 3.73's. What a difference! The car pulls hard and has lost the 2nd to 3rd flat spot. Can't wait to nice weather to really enjoy it.

the 50 shot is probably used more to cool the intake charge to allow for more timing advance. which will add even more than the nitrous alone

Back at the Track (First Time 2007)

Well, went out to the track yesterday for the second UMTR (http://www.umtrdragrace.com/) event at Edgewater Sports Park. I had some great runs that should have and would have been 12.xx passes, but I set my dial in at 13.00 and had to let off at the end of the track, which in turn (looking back) got me booted in the second round (but it was a great race! )

On the plus side I had a new best 60ft, 1.773!!

MY best run . .

R/T .086
60; 1.773
330 5.400
1/8 8.387
MPH 82.63
1000 10.942
1/4 13.096
MPH 104.73

Some photos of the day.

The Mach felt strong all day. It was a gorgeous day and great to hang out with some friends/cool people at the track.

Another shot by OrangeStang04 on my local site (stangbangerz.com).

New Rims/Tires for the Mach - BBS RK

FINALLY!!!

After extensive searching and one blown deal I finally have a set of BBS RK rims for my Mach! I purchased them from a gentleman on modularfords.com.

18x8.5 - 265/35/18
18x10 - 295/35/18

Tires are BFG g-force T/A KD

Rims weigh ~19lbs front & ~20lbs That's a savings of ~9-10lbs at each corner and I can feel the difference.

I might drop down in size on tires after these are worn. I think the front are a little too big for the rim. I may go 245/40 or 255/40 and either stay with a 295/35 in back or drop to a 285/35.

I know these may not be a style everyone likes, but other than CCW Classics these have always been my favorite wheel.

Thanks guys for the compliments.

My stock Mach Rims/Tires have been in the garage for the last 3 years and I just pulled off a set of Black Chrome 18x9 AFS Mach 1 wheels/tires and put them in the garage as well. Yeah I know . . . WAY too many wheels/tires . . . and I didn't even mention my pair of Cobra R replica with my drag radials for the track! I am little embarrassed to have so many sets right now.

Well if it really makes you feel bad I could help you lighten the load and take the originals for you.

They look great Jason!!! I've always liked BBS-ey wheels, so I guess yolu could say I'm a fan.

And don't feel too bad about haveing an excess of wheels and tires. My original 13" four spokes are in the garage. Their tires have been transferred to my 13" five slots, two of which are on my II. I have two 10 holes with 205/65s on them in the garage, and the other two 10 holes, with 235/60s on the II. though I guess you have me beat with that extra pair of Cobra Rs with those drag radials

Oh and If you don't want to give your Magnum style wheels to Peter, my garage could always use another set (for the Bullitt of course)
