Not to butt into your personal business Arin, but insurance wont help you cover any of that?

insurance would cover it but its simpler right now if i avoid it. i don't want my insurance costs rising even higher than they already are, especially with the bogus ticket i got a few months ago (left turn on a yellow! officer said i "almost screeched your tires" idunno about you guys but i'm pretty sure that concretely means i DIDNT screech my tires he freely admitted that i was not speeding as well, so i'm currently in the process of contesting it)

I'd love a termi front end, someday. if i can find a good enough deal on one, i'll get it but i think for the time being i just want it roadworthy again

bahahahahaha

my crashes have a pretty bad habit of mimicking hollywood. Bullitt was the first crash, i had the exact same damage done on the front suspension. now the road warrior.

one things for sure, my driving life sure is interesting

lol

Dang Arin, sorry to here about the accident.

Front bumper covers are usually close to thesame price as each other, so you could get a termi front end, they look awesome with the stock hood, and you could always change hoods to the twin vented down the road.

Atleast you are ok(ego aside).

Dang Arin. That sucks *****.

Looks like its a sign to change the nose a bit.

I think Chris's dealership still has a spare R splitter.

Yea that's about right. When I wrecked mine I was thinking about a termi front but it was about twice the cost so I just went for the stock front.......though less then a month later I blew the trans

Anyway, I know how you feel I did about that same thing and it sucks big ones. Took me some time to fix but it not to bad monetarily as long as you look around, of course I did the paint myself and it doesn't quite match but that will come in time. There's deals to be had as long as you are ok without perfection.

forget about the fogs though, the bullitt doesn't have fogs and you could use them for some sweet brake ducts.

Really, that crash just bites - looking for the "good" in all of this; you walked away unhurt, and no one else was involved. Time to start looking on CL and the salvage yard. Friend of mine just picked up a '00 GT parts car (minus wheels) for $250. Could probably squeeze by on V6 replacement parts (may be cheaper?) until the budget allows for more mods. Best of luck and hope it gets back on the road soon.

does anyone know how to remove the boots on the steering rack? They don't appear to be regular hose clamps. i'd check my haynes manual, but its back in berkeley because i'm an idiot. looking around some mroe ive mostly confirmed that only the inner tie rod is busted.

mostly. one of the hard lines near the steering rack seems to be "loose" i dunno if its supposed to swivel and move a bit, but it does. if anyone else with an SN95 2v could go under and see if any of their hard lines going in and around the steering rack move i'd really appreciate it. unfortunately i just have nothing to compare it to right now.

it also looks as if this side of the rack was already leaking at one point. the broken side has alot of grime on it whereas the passenger side looks pretty clean.

when my dad comes home to drop my bro off from school, we're gonna head to kragen and pickup the inner tie rod. i'd like to have it done today or tomorrow, but looking at my hwload this week, not sure if i can. ive got alot of 3d modeling to do and frankly, my rhino skills could use practice anyway. at the very least i'll get the parts i need.

i also went and looked at the front bumper now that its daylight, and if i put taht sucker on she is gonna be pretty ugly lol. one of the vertical bars in the lower grill is snapped, but still there, and theres a crack that goes along the lower lip a bit. but for the time beign, until i have the tiem to really fix her up nice, it'll have to do.

so much for owning just ONE brokeass mustang

From the description of the steering components, you may want to check if the suspension is still aligned properly. I don't think those hard lines are supposed to move around like that - they were a bear to take off on when our club members helped with someone else's project car. Though it could have been just that car. Don't forget to keep a bunch of zip ties and a cutter in the trunk.
